I leave for Delhi at 1:30 Tuesday morning, and Monday is killing me. The anti-malaria medication I am taking prevents me from eating, my nerves are shot, and I'm having second guesses about going. Though I have memorized verbatim the Rough Guide to India travel book, I have no idea what to expect. This scares me almost more than anything else. But what scares me the most is the way in which India may change me as a person. The next week will be chaotic, involving registering with the government, finding an apartment, and getting my bearings straight. I will be wit other students from the UC Education Abroad Program. Then we will head to Mussorie for six weeks to study at the language center. We will return to Delhi in August.
