Impressive There's a wealth of knowledge shown by Anon. Dad. Most NZ'rs know that "Old Zealand" is somewhere in the Netherlands because that's where Abel Tasman was from, and what we made him think of, for some reason - must have been our agricultural potential. But the actual details aren't known to most of us. - homestay provider
boo, no more Adam Life seems a little greyer and sadder with you gone; you were a ray of sunshine in the land of the long white cloud.
Thanks for the tiki sticks. If I ever serve salad, I shall do so while thinking of you and your love of all things herbal. - homestay provider
You are very funny Your latest entry made me laugh a lot. We are missing you loads in t'England as we say in Yorkshire. Can't wait to see you when you get back. Although me and Tanya are taking bets as to how grumpy you will be after flight! Tanya said that work wouldn't notice a change in your work output! OutRAGeous! Have been enjoying games of grass in your absence (obviously keeping vigil over your memory and crying!) Jim is always Banker grrr! I have won several games, but will not show on my stats as don't have hardcore database. grrr. We have had snow and I had the day off school on Thursday - oh happy day!! Jim hates me! I want to tell you more, but I don't think everyone else will be interested...or you perhaps. Your trip sounds like its been amazing - I am so proud of you. Jim thinks that you went a boy and you'll come back a MAN! ha ha ah aHA AHAHAH. LOVE YOU XXXXX - Laura
Zeeland To answer your question....via the internet...
Zeeland
Province of southwest Netherlands, consisting of five islands lying in the Schelde river estuary, and the region north of the Belgian province of East Flanders; area 1,790 sq km/691 sq mi; population (1997) 368,400. The capital is Middelburg. There are shipbuilding, engineering, and petrochemical industries. There is livestock raising, dairying, and cereals and potatoes are grown.
Now you can amaze people with your knowledge.

Told you so! Hi ,
you are doing more in a day than Jack Bauer!
Told you nothing is a problem to them they are very accomodating. Not sure if you meant make more Black Swans or children! Looking forward to the mudbath pictures and I'm still not bitter. - EVE
Doubtful? Glad about the gloworms - why do they glow? Did you make it to Milford / Doubtful Sound as well?
It's cold and snowy here...hot mudpools sound inviting even if they do smell! - Mum
Absent Guest Looks like Adam hasn't kept up with his diary, so perhaps I can furnish some details for the curious...he arrived safe and tired, was suckered into a fudge tour, learned nothing about Sir Earnest Ruthford, enjoyed kiwi hospitality, rode a sheep, went to church, viewed a sewage treatment facility, was adopted, was put on ice and is now somewhere in the lower South Island. If he doesn't like his diary being done for him, best he starts updating it! - homestay provider
Take care! I'm getting really concerned with all this danger, adventure and getting wet! Too many water related activities will make me jealous. Don't overdo it Action Man! ttfn C XX - Claudia
oooooooooooooooh hello my lovely Poorhouse
Finally I log onto your journal and find that you've not really bothered yet either! so I don't feel so bad now! I feel a bit exposed that everyone can read my message...! Hope you are having fun and not forgetting us back home. Missing you lots. Can you still check e-mail whilst you're out there? Love you lots xxxx - Laura
Good to hear from you... Hope your trip continues well and weather improves. London (now also encapsulated in holiday photos) suspiciously full of reminders of NZ! Looking forward to the pics. - Mum
Can't be doing with all this anonymous business! Am very glad to hear you are safe and sound and in one piece (Laura you can give me that tenner whenever) ;-) Can't believe you've chosen to go away just as Dirty Den is about to meet his end, you must be gutted!!! :-)Anyway take care, wrap up warm etc P.S. Big news for you to digest, not sure I should be posting it on t'internet but Tom and Jen are engaged! Pop that in your mental blender and give it a whirl xxxxx - Kat
1 Week on! So far all we know is you have arrived! We have survived one whole week without you, it was tough going!Everyone keeps asking how you are doing? Don't say you have forgotten all about us already.Eager for updates. - Eve
Where's Poorhouse? Now then mate! I don't intend to talk either about chocolate products or the environment of paranoia or anything at all actually. Just wanted to say that I hope you're having a great time and let me know when you're back so we can all meet up. Can you keep a tally of any annoying Lord of the Rings freaks you meet on your travels for me? I want to see whether their influx has spoiled any chance of me being able to bear going to New Zealand at some point in the future... - Joe
Missing you! Pleased to hear that you got there in one piece. You'd be amazed at some of the things I've been doing on your behalf - sometime I can't believe my own ability. However, don't miss your return flight. We all miss you loads.

good priorities Not sure who your anonymous comments are from, but am subsequently nervous to leave my own name. I think 'anonymous' has fostered an environemnt of paranoia that will infect your journal from here on in! I will be strong, I will break teh chain, I will sign my name: Tanya.
NB No comment regarding chocoloate mini roll available due to severe lack of interest and new diet restrictions! - suspiciously absent
You'vemade it! Great to know you have arrived; we tracked the progress of the planes but,for some reason, they didn't mention their august passenger!Have a wonderful time. - Mum
You made it! Great to know you've arrived - we tracked the progress of the planes but, for some reason, they omitted to include a special mention of their august passenger! Have a wonderful time. - Mum
Mini Rolls Hey its not just mini rolls. In Oz, the Cadburys chocolate doesn't taste anything like ours does, its horrible, so you might want to be taking that with you as well. Keep it in your hand luggage and pretend to be opening it as you walk through customs etc. They'll love you in NZ!
Hope you have a brilliant time over there. Whats the weather going to be like?
Let me know when you have arrived.
