Remember, remember, the 5th of November The gunpowder, treason, and plot I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot. Well, it's the 5th of November here which means at this moment I can hear fireworks going off all over town. For those of you who don't know, it was on the 5th of November in 1605 that Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the British houses of Parliament and kill king James I (watch V for Vendetta if you need more history). So this is the only day of fireworks that they have here in NZ and due to many injuries every year, this might be the last year they ever do so.
