Turner at the Tate Yeah for you. Great exploring!
Hey, there is a major Turner exihibition at the Tate that opened a couple of weeks ago. He is one of my favorite artists of all time...up there with Kandinsky. The interview with the curator I heard on the BBC said a number of works in the show are his version of Renoir paintings. They are not studies, but rather competitive with Renoir 'proving' he is a better fine artist than Renoir. Interesting in that this type of competition is silly in contemporary art as traditional painting skill gives way to meaning rising to the pinnacle. Anyway, catch the show and tell me all about it! Love you. And I 'm so proud of you.
