I love the spirit of this photo! Greetings! I happened upon this photo while searching for information & examples of "Quack Diddly Oso". Is this in South Africa? Do you know what game the children were actually playing?
I love the difference expressions that children had while playing that game, particularly the girl and the boy on the right.
Thanks for sharing your photos! I'm going to spend time looking at all of them.
Peace!!
Ag shame ! That I've only just found this blog Beth - your pictures are absolutely amazing. You certainly have a "photographer's eye". Your composition, colours and some of your close-ups - are simply awesome. Period. As a ex-Cape Townian (now sadly living in London, UK), I loved the whole Cape Town section - and thanks for saying so many nice things about my home city. I'm going to check out Huey Helicopters when I next go home - sounds a blast.
You see (and describe) the world through such unjaded eyes - so keep jumping - and keep taking photographs.
You've inspired me. Where's my camera....???
Cheers, Nik
Thank you for the candid tales of Red Hill - Cape Town Hi,
I loved reading about your experience in the Red Hill Community near Cape Town. Great pictures! I'm assuming you went there with Africa Impact? I'm off to that very same location for 2 months to do (from the details of your blog) the exact same thing you did. I leave January 17th, 2009. I'm really looking forward to it. Any wisdom, tips, or additional insights?

Plonker! There's always one know-it-all who shoots off his mouth without checking the facts. There is a St. Lucia in South Africa - quite famous too!! It's a wetland. Check it out www.stlucia.co.org
I'm sure Beth knew where she was.....
A Page in Life The world is indeed a book. Just waiting for someone to turn its pages to enjoy the secrets within.

All The Peoples Hi, I have a new website: www.allthepeoples.com and I would love if you'd post some of your images on the site. We want to publish as many images as possible from all places in the world. Check it out!
welcome to Israel everyone has a story like that...part of my reason for moving to Israel is to try and change this "style" of doing business...politeness, morality, good faith, respect are too often not how Israeli's do business - which makes them excellent negotiators - the problem in my eyes is that if you do this too much, you won't have anyone to negotiate with (as your cellcom story highlights). You have to fight as most of the time they bank on you not fighting...sucks but it is life - come back in 50 years, maybe I will have made a difference :)
Great Concept! I wish there was one for everyplace you've been. I think we all see creativity like this and want to try something similar- its rare the person who makes a sustained effort at it! Good job!
Hi, or Chai, or Hai, or whatever Bethie- what an amazing end to your trip- you sound so full of life. I am so proud of you...so cheesy but true. You have explored the world and taken each new experience with humor and wonder, and you never stopping jumping and taking pictures! I love you and can't wait to spend basically April 25- May 4th w/ you...don't know if I'll be able to leave your side!!

I vote for the title of whatever you do to be "Jumping around the world in 153 days" (or whatever it was). :) I LOVE AND MISS YOU TONS BETHIE!!
