Hanoi hassles Thank you for your helpful notes on the motorbike drivers and on the hotel that treated you badly. I plan to go (with two relatives) to Hanoi this summer (2006) and am taking notes in advance (4/06)

I am so impressed - waking up at 6 am!!! Don't remember you doing that at home very often.. What kind of boat are you planning to be on - it's not a cruise, I suspect?! Can you sleep on the boat too? is it with the guide, or on your own? I think that your package has made it home - I'll pick it up tomorrow! Keep enjoying yourself, and we'll see you real soon!!
This travelblog is awesome It's the only one I've read through and it's great, I'm so jealous of the beautiful pictures of blue water and the good buckets. Sounds like you're having a blast. So jealous. The pictures of China were also very nice, but for some reason I'm afraid of that place. Anyways thanks for sharing your experiences, feel like I'm reading an adventure novel :)
pictures amazing pictures you've got there!! I can't wait to get there and see the clear blue water and beautiful sun - it has been rainny and grey here since you left. Any pictures from the famous markets?
Photos Please Nicole Dearie,
Maybe you could use that new phone to take some photos and post them. How are we supposed to live vicariously through you withought pictures! Hmmm?
Shopping and stuff to do Remember all of those wonderful gifts you said that you would bring back for your friends? Don't forget us :)
Anyway, I asked my friend Nok to let me know if there are any "good deal" places to shop/eat/etc. Whenever she goes home to Bangkok, she always comes back with amazingly beautiful silks, jewelery, pottery, etc.
Have fun!
sounds like fun....better figure things out cause if i come to meet you i want everything organized and orderly, and that includes the traffic.
Hope you make it back in time to make your flight!

hello from Mexico! sorry to hear you are cold, here in the Mayan Riviera the temperature is a little warmer...
dad is quite burned, so today we stayed in the shade. the place is gorgeous, hopefully we can all come back one day! tomorrow we are going on a full day trip to see the Mayan pyramids. I hope you enjoy Beijin, and I`m glad to hear the cat and james are both doing well... mom
Gourmet Food Hey Nicole,
Remember my story about the 3 Sqeals (mice embryos). That said, enjoy all that you can because memories are more easily recalled from sounds, smells and tastes.
SB Catblog 1 Your cat is a damn snuggle MONSTER. Sunday was one giant belly rub. Good pics. Try the weird food!!! That's half the point of travelling.
I don't trust Chinese Starbucks.
Carpe Diem Nicole,
You have been planning this for so long and you have been through so much this year. This will be a wonderful breather before you start the rest of your life.
