The seasoned traveler Was this your first plane flight? I'm glad you stopped at Casa de Fruita. It is a tourist trap place but it is very nice, has cool things to buy, and helps to break up the trip. I can't believe you weren't thrown off the plane for making a sword (ha, ha)! Kirpan by any chance?? BTW, did I ever tell you my sister and her husband are Sikh, that I know more than you think about your culture/religion??
Even though I'm a Christian, I find it all so very interesting and have been thankful to my sister and her Sikh community for teaching me all that I know!
Interesting comments Lots of brown skin, huh?? I wasn't aware that many Indian people even lived on the east coast let alone attended the universities there. There were many Indians at Long Beach State where I graduated from. The insensitivity of the type of food served was not right but I did have to laugh at the garbage food you did choose to wolf down! I have a feeling that student life on the east coast is very different than that of the west coast.
You're a rich man! Well Munir, the next pot luck is going to be on you. That is a very nice Indian tradition. I'm sorry that everyone wants to see you and tell you how much you have grown....poor Munir! As to your first blog, I didn't know that Edison NJ was the U.S. Indian capital. It must have made you feel somewhat like being in Punjabi. Whatever you do, don't come back telling me you met the girl of your dreams and are getting married!!
Disgusting! Hi Munir,
Sorry for not replying sooner. Although I have been showing jup at school, I am very ill with that flu thing or whatever is going around. Like you, it was nice to celebrate Washington's b-day so that I could have time to get better. Actually, I ended up getting worse. Being that I was already ill, your description of paan just about made me lose my stomach contents. You need to avoid that stuff because the young ladies not enjoy your breath and I'm sure it looks unappealing!
