amazing pics! I was just catching up on your pics...Lorin I love the one of you swimming with an elephant! You guys are having the best adventure...can't wait for more pictures! Miss you DW!
Lookin for some hot stuff baby this evening You two are not tourists, you are travellers! There is a big difference. This trip has been amazing and I hope you are really savoring every moment. Be careful of those crazy monkey nipples. They could poke your eye out. This place looks like a movie I saw with Leonardo DiCaprio. And Donna, we're diggin the Swimsuit Issue cover pose. You go girl!
Love you guys.
son of a beach Hey Lorin and Donna. The beach life looks pretty good to me. I envy you two youths....had to get that in....just saw My Cousin Vinney again last night and am still laughing......this looks like an amazing way to cap off the trip. We are all looking forward to seeing you when you finally return to the good 'ol U S or A. In the meantime.......go with the flow.
Looks awesome Glad you are having a good time. I would check the blog more often if anything with the word "blog" wasn't blocked at my office. Also blocked, "teen", "cherry tree", "music", "adult". See you in LA.
Can't wait to see the new clothes!!! Did Lorin get a white suiit like the one we saw on the guy in the New York su bway??? Glad you are relaxing and having such a great adventure. Love, Mom/Sis
Ah to be young again! While reading about your bus trip all I could do is shake my head and marvel at your fortitude for enduring difficult situations. Although attributing it to youth, I don't think I could have ever had the guts to do what you've done. I remember a few bus trips to Mammoth and Squaw Valley that were less than pleasant, but nothing compared to a stinky 14 hour ride in Viet Nam.
Snake wine is tough to get through customs I just got the link to your blog since my work blocks sites deemed "unsavory". How wrong they are! Looks like a great trip. Makes you wonder why we Americans run around like chickens with our head cut off most of the time. Please come back some day. We'd like to see you again.
=) I wish you the best on your trip. i just looked through the travel blog and am quite jealous. i am sure this is the trip of a lifetime, happy memories!!!
amazing Thanks for sharing your journey-----it has been great following your adventures and the pictures have been awesome. Keep on having fun and keep on taking pics!
junk boat fun and a coupla tips for Sapa Looks like y'all did it up right in Hanoi and Halong Bay--no mention of Pho Zao though, hope you tried it while in Hanoi! I certainly remember the post-seafood-gorging-afternoon-comatose-spell. For Sapa: snag a scooter and drive past the Thac Bac (silver waterfalls) and then over the Dinh Deo Pass--beautiful drive w/ superduper views! Also--Camillia restaurant near the market was really good in 2002, will it be so today? You be the judge! Keep on truckin' you guys!
Looking at Laos Amazing photos. I'm going. Did you double check to make sure it was mud and not cave guano you were crawling in? And, what's with the two English girls? No sense of adventure like you two youths. Keep up the good work. Dad
I am not so sure I would have liked the cave experience --being a bit
clastrophobic---but it sounded exciting. The swings look really neat and fun. Glad you are both having such a wonderful experience. Love, Mom
Deja Vu!! Hey Y'all--Just caught up on all your previous posts, great to read about the adventures thus far. Glad you guys liked Pai (good on ya for getting to hear Tuk in Chiang Mai, too). I literally have many pictures that are taken from the same exact spots (Pai Canyon for one). Your Kuang Si falls pics are awesome, a magical place indeed. Have a great time in Vang Vieng--enjoy the rafting trip and the caving and the bizarre orange golden gate bridge lookalike. Keep them posts comin' and pop open a Beerlao for me and Lainey! :-)
Donna Weiss and myself, (Lorin Vogel), are two optometrists less than one year away from getting married. Our first big adventure out of the states that we are documenting is a 2 month journey through southeast asia. Stay tuned and experience it with us.... full info
