Thank you, Veronika! Veronika,
Michael's dad Dave and I both are grateful to you for making the time to travel with Michael. I know that he never would have made this trip without his trusty companion. (I won't call you train girl!) We are anxious to hear all of the stories and see the many pictures. I hope that both of you have very safe trips home. And please, if ever you visit the states again, please plan to spend some time with us. We would love to have you as our guest.
Safe travels,
Nancy Dickerson
Gelato & Beer? Uggh. Wow, I can see why you had such good things to say about your time in Venice. Neat.
Wierd--your posting on Rome appeared a long time ahead of this one, when this was the first one. Odd. I'm sure you wondered why I knew about Rome but asked questions about Venice. I had read the other but didn't see this one until this afternoon.
Have a great time!
Thanks Hi Michael,
Thanks for the thorough description and pictures. It really helps us enjoy your trip from afar. I really hope you get clear weather for lake Como. The pictures I have seen over the years of it are staggering. Have fun and tell Veronica hi.
See You,
Dad
in spite of all that planning! Sorry to hear of your misadventure the first night in Milan. Like you, I hope that's the last one for this trip. Sounds like you guys are taking the right attitude, though; just roll with it. Good to hear that the Italians are helpful and bilingual!
I REALLY hope the fog lifts from here on out. That must have been frustrating. I just peeked at the next few days weather for that area, and I think what I'm seeing looks pretty great.
Have always heard that Lake Como is beautiful. Hope it turns out to be a great day.
Thanks for keeping us posted. Lots of fun to read and even SEE your adventures!
Love you!!!!!
P.S. You were missed at the wedding last night. Lots of people asking about you. REALLY rainy, which was unfortunate, because it was at a gorgeous club with what I would guess are gorgeous long views and also lots of pretty places where I'm sure they had planned to take pictures. But it was a happy time, and I know that Beaver is quite ready for his week at the beach!
pics Your pictures are great! We're enjoying. Don't forget to take pictures of the places you're staying. Your hosts, too. Hope internet access continues to be fairly easy. But we'll see!
Wow! Lots of fun reading your blog. I can see your layout talents you gained from Constant Contact are showing through!
:-) Take care and enjoy every minute. Sounds like you already know that though! Have fun!

Hi!! I am glad you are having so much fun!! I am JEALOUS! Glad you got a new camera - totally worth the money. Keep taking lots of pictures!
Your pictures from Rothenburg brought back memories - I was in that same spot almost exactly 4 years ago. Kind of cool!
Love you,
Mere
pictures Bummer about the camera. Good decision to buy another one; cameras are cheap and replaceable; trips to Europe aren't. Thanks for the detailed commentary. It helps us really picture where you are and to enjoy your trip without really being there.
That sure was a tall beer, but we know you had only one!
italy sorrento was the my favorite place!! pompeii is cool too. if you can take a ferry from naples to capri - amazing island in the mediterranean. they have really cool caves you can boat under and it's a pretty island. vacay spot for celebs. have so much fun!!!
And let the adventures begin! Guten Morgen or Guten Tag or Guten Abend!
Good morning or good afternoon or good evening, depending on how well your body clock is adjusting. Glad to see you landed safely and on time. Can't wait to hear about it all!
