Your tour guide I found this blog whilst looking to see if there were any reviews during my time at Busch Gardens! I was pleasantly surprised to find this blog and it brought back great memories! You guys were an awesome tour group and I remember our conversations from coasters to culture being one of the most inquisitive experiences I’d had during my time at Busch. I’m so glad to see you enjoyed your experience and I must say it was an honor to lead you guys around! Hope all is well these few years later!

Jake! Hi Jake
So great to read your comments! We look back on our visit with really great memories. We loved the photos you took too and they are a prominent part of the album we made. We really hope you are well and enjoying life ! Best wishes Mandy and Bill x
Homeward Bound Oh no! Going home, just when I was really enjoying the trip.
Let’s hope that Chinatown gives you a splendid send-off.
Safe journey back to Blighty / Ongi joan Blightyra.
Poetry & prose As usual your reports have a nice poetic quality and are fascinating to read.
Where there’s a juxtaposition of poetry & Grand Central Station there is Elizabeth Smart - "By Grand Central Station I Sat Down And Wept" is a classic memoir in poetic prose.
I filled in the blank - in our language it’s barrabilak and not at all rude.
Most enjoyable Why thankyou Mrs T ... I feel as if I am there myself , quite agree , when I did visit I found it a very sad place, but an eye opener!
Keep your entries flowing, look forward to the next instalment x
Ongi Ibili - travel well. Good to hear that you’re on your travels again. I’m looking forward to the British insights into the United States of Trump. Whilst I love the literature and the music of the United States I’m quite content to stay in Euskal Herria and enjoy a vicarious trip. In reality I’d find it all too too scary! Give me the lambs gambolling not the sheep gambling...
You describe Las Vegas as a city of two halves, the very rich and the abjectly poor. My guess is that you’ll see a lot of that but it’s not a situation unique to America. All the developed capitalist countries seem to have such divides.
What a good idea travelling by air and rail - my guess is that you’ll meet lots of people that way; let’s hear what they have to say...
Best wishes for the 2017 adventure,
Drew
Back in the USA Back in the USA, eh? Chuck would be happy. I’m happy to be reading your further adventures.
As for the Laminated Book of Dreams - I’ll write a sequel called Confessions of an Argonaut.
But Trump a good guy? Not in a million years. He epitomises all that is bad about the United States.
Ongi izan (be good) drew xx
thanks? Thanks Alex's - you would so love Nashville - is a mad mad place with wall to wall fun. As someone said to us " if y'all ain't having fun in Nashville y'all doin something wrong"
The Who. Wow! What an experience. I saw them at Hanley Gaumont (Stoke on Trent) on 15th September 1966. Your blog makes them sound just as good 49 years later. I always listen to the lyric of “My Generation” with a sense of irony...
Nice comments about the language and the food.
Keep on enjoying the tour. As we say here - Ongi ibili (go well)
The Who Drew in September 1966 I was 6 months old and living next door to your cousin Margaret! Remembering the exact date is impressive. They were indeed about as good as I could ever have hoped they would be. If I have that much energy when I'm 70 I'll be well chuffed!!

I’m there! Reading the blog so far it feels as though I’m there with you. I’m having an extremely enjoyable virtual tour and have one up on the real participants - every day is a surprise location because I don’t have the itinerary and you do...
As for respect, manners and politeness - isn’t that the American way of business?
thank you! Hi drew
Thank you so much. I plan to print it all of on my return to keep as a record sho I hope it's not too self indulgent... Plenty more to come either way - we are here until May 15th. Hope all is well with you both xxx
