As I write this, I am sitting in my bed on the BCNC campus in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The past 24 hours of travel are a blur! It has been a time of new experiences all around. My only other experience flying on a plane was when I was in second grade, which I barely remember. This was also my first time leaving the United States. I was nervous starting the first 14 hour flight from Washington D.C. to Seoul, South Korea. I didn't know what to expect, and the airport experience seemed overwhelming at times. Once the plane was in the air, I was comfortable and felt ready for whatever may come my way.
