What a Trip! Enjoyed all your postings, and recognized a number of the areas captured in your pictures (particularly in this last set of Manila). Only sorry you didn't get a chance to get into that cemetery as it is as strikingly beautiful as any I've seen (including Arlington). But that's something for your next trip! I hope the trip was as grand as it sounds, and thanks for including me in your distribution list. Looking forward to seeing more pictures when we get together. Bruce
love the cave photo Thanks for the nice summary. I love the photo of the caves. Looks very nice and relaxing. I also love that you took a small catamaran like boat around--good choice. :)
Great entry! We were so glad you avoided the typhoon! The beach pictures with the clouds are stunning! It looks like you guys had a terrific time! I love the Crystal Cove pictures!

hot and humid Hi Garrett - I'm with you on the temperatures, it's raining in NYC but that's making it more humid when its 90+ degrees. What all have you bought or attempted to purchase at the markets? You described how to go about bargaining - but what have you acquired? ...and you better watch out, those catfish might just start to nibble on your hand, or pull you in!
Love the borrowed clothes!!! Garret,
You should really write a travel book - you make me want to visit every stop you make! I read every entry with a huge smile on my face - you make me laugh and at the same time teach me interesting new facts on very city you visit!
:-) Michelle
amazing I'm enjoying these chances to hear about your trip - the photos are amazing! I love your narration - I found myself laughing at the thought of climbing those paved steps. I can only imagine how that felt when you were done. I look forward to reading more... Happy 4th of July - I know you won't be seeing any fireworks tonight, but the sights you're seeing are much more spactacular.

I really enjoyed your Hawaii post and photos! I live in Los Angeles and have traveled all over the world and here in the US, but have yet to make it there! Your post made me want to go even more. My blog is looking for travel photos, reviews, etc, to share (like maybe of Waikiki Beachside hostel, or where to get good Kalbi?!). If you have the time, check it out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com, or email me at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com. Continued fun on your Lei Over!

so true Thanks for the comment! I'm jealous you've been to Venice so many times. I've only been twice but hope to go back in the future. It is truly enchanting.
So True Hi there lostsomewhere - I just had to comment on the last sentence you wrote. I have been to Venice many, many times - but when I think of Venice - I think of an August day in 1985 - The first time I had been to Italy - I got off the train from Nice - ran down the steps of the train station and just stared in amazement - it was as if a painting had come to life - I remember it as if it were yesterday. I have never watched people arriving, but the next time I go - I will!!
for as much as i love my hometown of chicago, i sometimes can't wait to leave it. i travel to experience one of life's greatest legal means of getting high. i hope you enjoy reading my entries as much as i do writing them.... full info
