I just found your blog Lisa:
Due to a baby shower (which I did not attend) I just heard about your blog. I started with this entry, but plan to work my way from front to back this evening. How wonderful that you realized that if we wait too long, life will go by. No time like the present! I think this is a great adventure you are on and I commend your spirit. I will be reading through your adventures tonight and plan to comment as time goes on! Be safe and enjoy the real education the world offers.
All my best,
Your cousin Tony

I finally found your blog! I can't believe you broke your ankle, but it looks like it is good to make you slow down and enjoy the small things. I hate crutches! But you will have the buffest arms! Hope you don't have to keep it casted for your whole trip. Thinking about you out here in SF (its raining today! imagine that!) Love ya.

concerned taters Hi there girl we are just hangin in san jose at the pangaya hostel, I finnally found your blog, We have been wondering how you were doing the corn islands were fun, super laid back, the internet there is skecthy though so it was hard to email from there supposidly they have it fixed now but it is very slow, we may try to change our flight home for tommorrow, there is not much to do in san jose without gettin mugged, but it was really pretty easy to get there if you wanted to go for a few days, the people there are super friendly, but there are some guys that might try to scam you out of your belongings or money but we had a great time over all, we went straight to the little corn island, we didnt spend any time on the big corn, but it was a great releif from the fast pace of the mainland, no cars nothin, we rented a little hut right on the beach for six bucks a night, hardly any tourists maybe 20 on the whole island, of a population of about 500 people, any how i hope you get better as soon as possible, when we get back to the states i will send you some pics, Later girl, thinkin of you, John and Ryan
Lisa! Hey! Saskia forwarded your blog address - it's so good to hear that you are doing okay and that you are enjoying your self despite the cast! And I'm glad you are finding friends and practcing your Spanish. Hope that ankle heals quickly. Have fun - Sandra
never know... Lisa! I'm so glad to know you're doing ok...and that you managed to get a sleaker, smaller cast. I'm sorry my wedding was the catalyst for such a 180 on your travel plans...but like you said, you never know what life is going to through at you. And, you, dear, are being quite a sport about this! You really are awesome! I'm glad you decided to stay in Granada...you never know what else life will through at you...hopefully, this time with less bang! I'm thrilled you are a part of our wedding memories! Buena suerte, chica! Besos, Ale
Go Lisa!!! Yay Lisa! I'm so glad that you stayed. It looks like you are making the best of the situation and now that i have your blog address I will totally keep up with you and your travels. I really do hope you continue with Central America and hope you make the best of those handicap tours! I really hope you do enjoy your remaining time there with and without the cast - and your "little people" crutches! You couldn't have been a better adopted family member! Drink a michelada in my name!
Good for you Hey Dr Kid--- Several things happening. I see you, making the most of w/e situation comes your way. Brava! I hear friends, being supportive and helpful. And I know things-I know that there is a hidden agenda here----this "accident" will have meaning, whether we identify it or not. Love you MUCH!
your great spirit I wish you a speedy recovery my friend. Keep up your great spirit about broken ankle. I've had 1 break and 2 hairline fractures on the same ankle. It's no fun, especially on your adventure. Sorry friend. Glad you look like you're still having fun and making people smile.
Love u!
I Miss You! Just want to tell ya that I loved every minute I spent with. Thanks for being my date ;-) It'd been a while since we spent so much time together (umm...college days) but, we definitely have so many new memories that will keep us laughing 'til our old age. Hope Nicaragua treats you well these next few weeks.
I miss you and love you lots. -Saskia
"For a long time it seemedhttp://www.travelblog.org/ to me that life was about to begin- real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one." -Souza... full info
