On Friday I went to York (about an hour and a half by train from Knutsforf) with Vicki and Steve. We had fantastic time. We started by getting a pub lunch. The pub was located down an alley and in a converted cellar. We stumbled on it by accident but the food was excellent. I had fish and chips-- as every good tourist should-- the peas were not mushy but I still did not eat them! Next Vicki and I went to York Minster, which is the largest Gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. There has been 5 cathedrals on the site starting with one built in 627. The current cathedral was finished in 1427. There are so many details I can't even begin to describe the cathedral. There are dozens of stain glass windows, including one
