hi Hi Gloria. Ok, these pictures are priceless. I hope you have a very uneventful trip back to the US and that Mia sleeps for most of it. Can't wait to see you both. Nancy
Feeding troubles I'm a friend of Cheri's from BSF. I adopted just one year ago from China. Your pictures bring back such sweet memories. We had trouble getting Evie to eat from the bottle until I cut the nipples larger. They were used to a faster flow at her orphanage.
Good luck with the eczema. It seems like all the babies in our group had extremely dry skin. I was fortunate that Evie's wasn't as bad as most. I found I could not use the Johnson and Johnson products especially baby oil. I think because of the scent. I use Aveno unscented baby products. I slather her with cream every night.
Keep up the good spirits. Things will be easier when you're at home and it doesn't feel as if everyone's watching you. Say hi to Cheri.
Help with the Feeding Hi Gloria,
I don't know if you will get a chance to read this, but my sister's daughter Caty, refused the bottle at 5 months, so she used a sippy cup. She says the slow flow, soft tip cup will work. Gerber and Nuby make them. She says it a bit messy, but it beats the bottle struggle.
Hope this helps! Give Mia a hug.
What a cutie! I am so glad that your match day has come. Mia sounds wonderful. I can't wait to meet her! Enjoy the rest of your time there in China and have a safe trip home!
Congratulations Congratulations. It sounds like everything is going well! I can't wait to talk to you and get some pointers for our trip over next year. Mia looks very happy and it seems like she is adjusting well. See, she was the baby you were waiting for when all those snags in the system occured. Hopefully I can keep my own advice in mind when I start to get frustrated. Stay safe!

Congrats! Congratulations Mommy! Everybody in the office is so happy for you and has been asking how things are going. The blog was a great idea. Enjoy your new-found joy and have a safe trip back!
She's a keeper! Yep, I can say she's a cutie (and you know that's HUGE coming from me). But she does need to grow out her hair, that short cut just isn't doing a thing for her face.
My Red Thread journey began two and a half years ago. Well, really it started in 2003 when I met my friend MaryBeth's adorable daughter Isabel. That was when I first learned about Chinese Children Adoption International and began to think about the possibility of adopting a little girl from China. My first offical step was when I submitted my application to CCAI in December of 2004. As any other adoptive parent knows, there is a lot of paperwork and many ups & downs while working through the process. But in the end, it all eventually pays off and my time is near. On May 2, 2007, I was ma... full info
