Hi
Hi there travellers! What a fabulous trip, can't wait to see the rest of the photos. Really hot temps here 31 today and very windy 130km winds (apparently) - pretending (really hard) that we are in the Bahamas! Look forward to your next update. T xx

Your Dalat adventure day sounds like a real highlight. How neat that you found a place like that. Isn't it special when you can get off the beaten tourist track and find the soul of the country.

Temperatures
Hi Joan - love getting your messages. Dalat is known for it's cooler climate, being up pretty high. Being winter here our highs have been around 26C. But riding round in the forests it's much cooler. The locals are all wearing jackets! Apparently it gets a bit warmer in summer, but not much and it's not humid. Everywhere else it's been getting steadily warmer, from needing a warm jacket in Sapa to shorts and teeshirt in Nha Trang. Expected temp in Saigon is 32 and humid! And that ends tonight's weather report!!!

Thanks for your message Mai1. Hoi An was brilliant. So nice to be in a small place with some lovely old buildings.

Happy New Year!
Howdie LV and TC - first day back at work today and just catching up with your exciting travel blog adventures - enjoying reading and seeing what you are experiencing along the way. Managed to whittle your 130 emails down to 60! Lovely message from Rana all the way from Jordon - no other dramas. Love to Vivian and Alan - continue to enjoy the Vietnamese way to the max, as you seem to be doing. Love Sig ;-)

Yes - so sad about Sir Ed - a truly mighty pohutukawa fallen. I liked Tremaine's cartoon in the ODT on Saturday: as Sir Ed, wearing his warm jacket and a backpack and carrying an ice axe, heads towards the Pearly Gates, two angels are bowing their heads and saying: "For Everest in Peace." Glad to hear you are improving in health. Really enjoying your blogs. Love, Jo

Hi
Hi Girls, really enjoy reading all about your fab trip! Looking forward to hearing about Saigon. The news about Sir Ed is indeed very sad, a great man who lead a rich and full life. NZ govt are considering introducing a public holiday as a way of getting all New Zealanders to reflect on his life. Anyway hope it doesn't leave you feeling too blue :) How were the crustaceans? And is that a Vespa I see in front of the Cyclo drivers? The Cycylo drivers look so tired, how could anyone bear to wake them and ask for a ride?! Best go - I think I have caught ADHD off Suze....:) Take care Tx

Howdy
Hi gals - not sure if 12 days up in Northlands Sandy Bay, 3 days Kinloch and next week Ohope rates the same as what you're doing - but it's a fantastic summer here! Sad day in NZ though, guess you've heard Sir Edmund Hillary died yesterday. Keep eating your way around the country - what a way to go! Jx
