Hey Kate,
I wasn't able to read every single post on here - - I'll make a pot of tea and read the ones I've missed sometime soon I hope - - but I've appreciated what I have read. Thanks for sharing glimpses into your trip! Like Amelia said, your final post shows immense insight. I love the steak was on your list of things to look forward to - yay Alberta!
*hug*
Hope you're well,
Julie
That is a pretty high level of insight for someone so young. It's too bad more people can't be more appreciative of what we have. Next time I'm whining about the lack of snow clearing in Montreal, I'll think of this.

I think it's so amazing that you can meet people and travel with them for days at a time when they were just strangers before! It's such a great concept, and I wish more people could experience it!
On the other hand, I'm somehow strangely excited at the idea of your coming back to Canada. You'll still be far away from me, but having you in the same border is somehow comforting!
xo
happy new year! i'm glad you're somewhere a bit more chill and enjoying yourself, kate!! happy new year -- i can't wait to get caught up over the phone at some point in the not too distant future. xoxox
Awww, locked in your room? That SUCKS! And the puking in the drain probably didn't help at all. I'm glad that you've been able to find patience while you're there though. I'm impressed! You can make it, and I know you won't regret it.

:) i can't wait to have you back in canada, lady!! it sounds like you're having a grueling, intense, amazing kinda time and hearing about it makes me miss you!! enjoy laos and fill me in on your new year's plans once you make them....or more likely after the fact.... xoxo
Woah, wild! I'll bet it helps that there are so much fewer cars. I'm impressed that they can make it work! That guy with the glass sounds like an accident waiting to happen...
What's Jen's address???? Hey Nellie, just finished getting caught up on your blog. It's snowing and a bit on the "cool" side (OK so it's freaking COLD)....I want Jen's address as we're on our way :) ! Take care.
Wow, that sounds absolutely incredible... I'm impressed that you made it through, I think I would have been ridiculously emotional the whole time. It's got to be an eye-opening experience seeing all that joy in the middle of all that pain and poverty.
it would have been so overwhelming to see the evidence of the killing like that. A friend of mine went there a couple years ago and visiting the places you just did sunk him into a deep depression. Sounds like that won't happen to you, which is good to know. And I'm glad you got to stay in a comfortable, clean place finally:)
