i wanted to climb this peak and, once again, since i was going solo I was charged a premium price $100, instead of $80 which would have been the effective rate if there´d been two or more people. going alone with the guide is always preferred, inspite of the price, because the hiking/climbing is only on your own pace, rest stops as well. It turned out that there was another person who went with us and don´t even think that i might have been reimbursed for the ¨solo premium¨. Be that as it may, the climb was quite arduous with a 3000 foot slog through sand and loose rock up to the refugio where we stopped for a brief lunch before continuing towards the top. note that we didn´t make it to the top but
