Hey Kathryn Amazing Blog! Hi Kathryn
I have loved reading this you sound at one with the world you are living in and capturing every moment! Also so lovely and descriptive especially the tea !!!! better than the Typhoo I have just had!! Also great to see you are venturing out on your own too its sounds like you are meeting some real characters and gaining some great confidence , while recognising the inevitable roller coaster of emotions. I ams sure it is lovely to have some more volunteers with you now
Keep up the fantastic work we are all very proud in the UK Kathryn
Best wishes
Dawn
Jeff Beck 'Nadia' Hi Kathryn - wonderful blog, very evocative - what an experience. What a lovely thing when the news tells us people are horrible that you are receiving so many gestures of genuine hospitality and warmth.I loved the tea reference and the tuk tuk man and the picture of you teaching the children . What a great time . All those lovely moments to soothe the homesickness - which is perfectly natural but hard.Great you have such a powerful language as music to connect with people . Are you picking up any local language? I am listening to Jeff Beck 'Nadia' - while I write this - very Indian - not sure if you can get the download ? Good to hear you are forging on with the guitar. We have Joe staying with us at the moment before he and Lucy go to London as his tenancy has ended . Hoping for some guitar tips.Saw your mum last week - she is so pleased you are doing well. St Ann's is still wonderful . Best wishes Kathryn . Mike
Thank you Hi Mike, Thank you for your message. I hope you're well and enjoying the summer? Really glad you're enjoying my blog. I'm having a lot of fun writing it. I'm also keeping a personal diary too so when I get back home I'll have loads of records of my adventures! I'm having a really great time out here. It took me about 2 weeks to get used to everything, but I feel so settled now. The school is going well and I'm even making friends with some of my neighbours who have made me dinner and invited me for a party this week! Afraid I haven't heard of the Jeff Beck song but will listen to it when I get a better internet signal for downloading. :) Thank you again for the message. Give my love to everyone at home. :) Kathryn.
