La Patisserie Française…In China Today (5/19/2008) was the first day of class and I had Chinese I. Before that though, we went with these girls (Emily & Sandra) who live a couple of doors down the hall (Emily went to Wheeler and graduated a couple of years before me!! How weird to meet someone from my high school in Shanghai!!!) to breakfast at this French Bakery where we had THE most delicious croissants! Better than in the U.S.! Then we went to our 1st Chinese class and I was very glad because I understood/already knew everything thanks to Lizzz & Pimsleur! So I was able to answer almost all of the Professor’s questions.
