Ah GA GA GA GA GA!!!! Nice pics son, seems like you are having a great time. Well, Well did you know that the Itallians are as short as you, I'll bet even dave seems tall. As long as you stay away from the grappa you'll be ok. So eat, drink, and be maria. Hope to here from you soon bro.
Ditto Dave Hi Kam. You are an exceptional writer and photographer. And, thank you again, for all of the teary-eyed laughter you have provided us, along with your philosophies, and science. We will follow you from Italy, as well. Sorry to say I finally read the remainder of your Thai report, along with your first Italian entry. Paul kept asking, have your finished Kam's blog, yet? I hope you never stop writing blogs. By the way, Paul just sticks his goyish nose into the newspaper when this Jewish wife nags him.
Mmmm, pizza. Hey Kammy, good to see you made it to Italy. I miss it. It's an amazing place, but agreeably very expensive. I found your piece rather entertaining, you're and excellent writer, rather than an uninspried piece of literature. Glad you found Rome to be a cool city, I loved it there! And as for Naples... Just be happy to make it out of Naples alive... It's not much to see, but the prices are cheaper. Oh, and the Italian women and the train rides are all wonderfully beautiful parts of the Italian scenery; enjoy them. Have fun dude.
kudos kam!! so i finally got around to looking at ur blog, and i'm very glad that i did!! so glad to hear and see ur having such great times and adventures. keep up the good work, and it's already bn said but great pixs man, very good documentation. who wdn't b jealous, punk!!
Wow! Kam,
Your pictures are incredible! It looks like you're having an amazing time!
Have fun in Italy! If you're going to Florence make sure you find Vivoli gelato near the Santa Croce. It's soooo worth it!
Amanda
How dare ye! How dare ye profess thoughts of nature - technology - serenity like ye is the Chosen. I shall determine what all think, see and experience through control of the Internet and media.
Have fun in Italy. Bring me a wife, some good wine and a monkey. Peace.
P.S. >> Keep up the macro. Them is good.
looking out from taratua Reading your blog was really beautiful because it reminded me so much of how I'd felt. So empty of mind - no distractions or concerns- yet so full of amazement and wonder at the what i consider one of the most beautiful places in the world. Its a spiritual moment, well captured by your words and pictures. I'm so happy it was like that for you, i was worried it might have changed already....
I am jealous...you're absolutely correct :-) Well, I just figured out how to post comments. Leave it to a computer dummy. Anyway, I am in awe of your experiences and think you are doing such a wonderful thing for yourself and others around you. You have such an amazing head on your shoulders and I am glad that you are finding ways to assimilate in the culture of others instead of taking advantage. I wish there were many more people in this world like you. Keep up the awesome tales from afar. Through the stories and the pictures I can almost imagine being there. Keep your spirits high and know that you are thought of often and loved very much!
Love,
Leia
Had to say I so love the photos, particularly the children. And, I love your love of the work with them. (I'll research synonyms for "love.") You're right on about us being jealous of you all, but you're missing out on listening to this politician who says what you want to hear or that politician who says what you want to hear, and so on. Primary vote time in California is nearing. Paul and I vote absentee, so through the mail. I told him not to worry, that I'd fill out his ballot.
Tears This morning you brought tears of appreciation to my eyes, reading about your experience in the English classroom and wanting to make a difference in these people's lives beyond the bandaid momentary support of a dollar. Infrastructure programs, such as teaching English for the reasons you mentioned, help people realize how to support themselves versus relying on the petty tokens of, as you say, those who act empirical and holier-than-thou. (Although, I have seriously considered passing out bananas (with their potassium potency) and burying Zoloft in the bananas, to folks on the street who hold up signs asking for money and/or work.)
re: Fracking Funny Karen, you've said it all. What can I say? I appreciate your sincere words, and compassion. Thanks a lot, it really means a lot as you are struggling to find glimmers of it elsewhere in the world. Keep commenting, it keeps me close enough to home to not forget it.
re: the D40x The camera has kept me rather happy, Paul, but I wish I had a 200mm lens. It is fast and takes good quality shots, AND most importantly makes your son insanely jealous of me. And that's all that matters. On the downside - it auto focuses very slowly at times, and sometimes it's ineffective and I have to switch to manual. I think it has a limited point system of metering as well (only 3 spots to choose from. wish i had atleast 5).
Greetings Hey Kam.......great stuff......please keep the funnies coming. I can be at the opposite end of the house, hear great belly laughs from Karen and know she is reading your blog. When Karen is happy, I'm happy, so thanks for that ;-)
Happy with the D40X? any negatives to report?
Take care......Paul
Fracking funny! Kam, I so appreciate your blogs. I laugh out loud a lot. (Fracking, by the way, comes from "Battlestar Gallactica" (Jason lent us the season one dvd and now we are hooked)). I also appreciate your humility related to the comparison between the economy and education of Cambodia versus the U.S., as well as the unimaginable horrors of the holocaust in Phnom Penh. As you travel and share your thoughts and experiences through words and pictures, we can learn from you about the world and stay aware of the realities that we need to aid. Thank you, Kam.
I didn't know you are such a good comedian I love your pictures and your blog is great! I've been very entertained reading it! Still laughing about your corn scam. Safe travels, love you!
Photos n' such Awesome photos Kam, keep up the good work! I really like the flower photo as well as the photo of the corridor with the light shining through the windows. Looks like you're having a blast over there. Good luck with your travels.
Wow-e, wow-e, wow-e! Dude, that stuff is a-mazing. Now if only you could put together some boxing monkeys fighting in the Angor Waht... then it would be magical.
thoughts x pacific kam,
katie, nate and i are chilling and we wanted to say happy new year, travels and sandal searching. santa cruz is rainy, we love u.

OK, so here's the plan: Thailand, Cambodia, Italy, China, South Korea, and Mongolia in approximately five months. Life's too short to not get lost along the way, right? I'll meet up with Danielle (Dan) and Paula (Paul) in Thailand and then rough the rest on my own from China forward.
I don't know how often I'll have time to update this, but I will as much as I can - so bear with me. Shoot me a comment or email me, I'm sure I'll love to hear from you. I promise adventure, mishap... full info
