We chose Peru as our entry country into South America and flew into Lima. We stayed at the Backpackers Family House which was a really friendly hostel in the Miraflores district run by Christian and his friend Pedro. We visited the Fountain Park that evening - a really cool family place with 25 fountains. They were controlled by computer for variation and colour and one of them showed a lazer and film show of the history of Peru. Some of them were interactive and the locals had great fun getting soaking wet. If you want to go there it is only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday and it costs 4 soles to get in.
