We flew to Vancouver via Air Canada with Browns and Johnstones, and met the Rathwells there...so we are now 8. Had a great lunch and then boarded Cathay Pacific for our 13 hour flight to Hong Kong. Wonderful service...great food and in-flight entertainment....but still a long haul!! Arrived, and after a short delay at Hong Kong airport with Rathwell’s baggage, we were met by Mike, our guide. Hong Kong is an amazing city.....lots of very high buildings, red taxis, and bright lights. We headed by private bus to the downtown bar area called Lan Kwai Fong, where we met up with Jim. So exciting to finally be together!! Had some beer and nachos at a bar.....a very busy Friday night with lots of ex-pats wearing trendy clothes enjoying drinks.
