once again... hey, Jesse...once again you've written a story that allows me to feel a part of the trip! I was actually feeling a bit of panic thinking about going down into see those creepy bones! Sounds as if you've made some very good friends who will likely one day end up on your couch in California! Thanks for taking the time to write and love the photos! OX
Wow. I actually enjoyed reading that. Not such a bad writer, my friend :>. I'm really glad to hear your trip is going well and sounds very fulfilling. There's nothing like travel for meeting new people on a very genuine basis. Keep up the blogs; I almost feel like I'm there! xoxo.
hey, Jess...just read the last blog - for some reason I wasn't "notified" by e-mail even though I did register to be...anyway...thanks for including all of the photos - really interested in your comments about the Berlin Wall...I grew up fascinated (in a horrific way) about the wall...always devastated to see (on the news) the bodies of those who were shot while trying to escape East Berlin...and wondered about those who followed the orders to shoot...keep writing when you can...it's a great read...glad the Rick Steves book is coming in handy! Trabant The Trabant, the green car one your phote wasnt at all a car you could buye in Nazi-Geramany (1933-1945) because the first such car was build in 1957. It was a car you could buy in socialist part of Germany called east Germany. And it wasnt even the only car brand you could buy there. An other brand for instance was Lada. Love it! I love what you've written so far! Very entertaining writing style and I laughed out loud at my desk when I read about the German with the very large mustache that helped you! Eating Maroille cheese puts you in with the locals now!
