Hi travellers! Have been following your blog and sounds like you are having an amazing time! When do you get back to the UK? Would be good to catch up. x
Hi Dee, sorry, I haven't been back to the blog for ages, and only just got your comment. We're not back until November, and spending the time in france, but will definately let you know when we're back and indeed get together. Lovely to hear from you, hope you guys are well xx
Coming home?? Hello sorry been so long since I have been in touch. Have you had a brilliant time? As if you wouldn't . Hoping you will be back soon. We had a good ride yesterday with Chris riding pillion behind Steve. Hope you are both ok xx
Yup, brilliant. Flying this morning. See you at your birthday bash-hpe dress code hasn't changed as only have the one outfit ready! Who'd have thought it would all come round so quick. See you soon x
Aaaawwww That was beautiful, the soppy side we both have made my eyes go teary. What an adventure to have had though, and this time tomorrow, you'll be telling me all about it face to face! Travel safe, see you soon x x x
That's good to hear. Will definitely keep in touch, we're expecting to hear when you guys can make it over to either France or the UK. Or maybe we can come back to Quincy sometime?!
First! Congratulations to the proud parents...the boy done good! You too Didi - now comes the time to relax and relish all you have both achieved.
Will see you all soon. x
'Two More Weeks!' Still two whole weeks...you lucky blighters. When you do head back to this side of the pond the adventure continues. Grandrupt beckons and when you have had enough of France it will be time to head back to the UK.
Damn fine way to spend a year I reckon. Have started looking at VW camper vans. Might not be quite as far flung as your trip but Europe is big enough for me. Plenty of history to gork at and lots...of lovely vino to drink!
Have fun.
Love Mags and Jim. x
Fun times You're right of coarse, life is certainly very good at the most, no complaints, just sorry this part of it is coming to an end-it really has been the dream. Hope all good with you guys, vw sounds like a cool idea. So much to see, everywhere.
Back into the land of computers again, and have just updated the blog. Glad you guys are still following it. Down to the last 2 weeks now. Not looking forward to trying to sell the bikes, like selling on a faithful horse (mine anyway!) We are both loving this, I've never seen Jim look so content when we were stopped in Quincy - Half was like the big bro he never had.

You certainly fell into the lap of the Gods with the location of the fail and the wonderful folks taking care of you.
Hope all plain sailing from here on in. Fingers FIRMLY crossed!
Love mags and Jim
Thanks for your comments. Bike fixed yesterday and we're off on the road again today. Its been an extraordinary few days, and I wouldn't have exchanged them for anything, funny old world! Just loving the states, if you can forget the politics, its a truly fantastic place, the people have been outstanding.
Love to all
xx
After my husband Jim was made redundant (he wasn't that sorry), and semi retirement loomed, we decided on planning a trip of a lifetime, while we felt the body would still just about hold out. Both being keen on motorcycling, and always having the dream of riding the wide open spaces, the West coast of the US seemed an obvious choice.... full info
