Thanks
Cheers Dave, it's an interesting and remote place that was made more mysterious and magical by the mist. The sculptures are impressive and make good photographic subjects.

A Man's World
Some stops along the way provide the ying and yang of experience. It is odd seeing renovations in dirty little towns. Happy travels.

Hey, very nice site. I came across this on Google, and I am stoked that I did. I will definitely be coming back here more often. Wish I could add to the conversation and bring a bit more to the table, but am just taking in as much info as I can at the moment. Thanks for sharing. Km 2500 Wheelchair Keep Posting:)

Catch Up
Martin what a wonderful adventure. We have had a chuckle about the met office and the local shop pictures. How the other half of the world survive we should all be very grateful but I am sure they are sometimes happier.

Maiji Shan
Wonderful you have experienced the wonders of Maiji Shan. I first learnt of it from a 1950s travel book. Had one trip to China from Australia because my xiondi said he'd drive me there. I wish you had shared more photos of this carved mountain as it is a destination like no other.

Danxia Geo Park

It's a stunning place, if you haven't had the chance to visit yet I'd recommend putting it on your list. There is a lot of new infrastructure being built at the moment so it looks as though they are gearing up for a massive increase in visitor numbers.

Hey Mate, you have done what most people only dreamed about, and wish they had done ... Really look forward to seeing your next adventure.

Hi Zofia Thanks. Colca is definitely worth it, we went there from Arequipa as we were told that was where the only regular buses went from, but when we were in Chivay we saw a bus that went to and from Puno. Motion sickness or altitude sickness ? If altitude sickness it would be tough doing it just after sea level at Lima, better to give yourself a few days of acclimatisation. If you have Titicaca in your itinerary doing Colca after that would probably be easier. I'd be happy to share any other things we learnt. Have a great trip Cheers Martin
