Hey Hel! Look's like you're having a good, if quite bizarre time. Ted sounds like an idiot :) Glad you're using the Russian, if only Ms Badinski could see you now, chatting the local lingo. Remember Ni Hao, for China. All is good here, doing last minute preparations for Mumbai. No doubt will be lots of disasters, scams, etc but at least I'll come back with a tan. I'll e-mail you when I get back with all the gossip.
Miss you lots, Kate xxxx
ps love Sal's hamster comment... I think she should get some friends for Tin Tin and make her own colony!!
Good Luck! I got really dazzled after reading this; is unusual to see a young and beautiful woman go
hiking and discovering a wild land nowadays. I'm anxious to read more and see the photos!
Good luck and keep up!
hi there Hi H
Glad to hear you are really enjoying your adventures. What an experience. Keep the updates coming as i am enjoying reading where you are
Keep safe and look after yourself love A.jo and U doug XXXX
Day 9... I think not! Hi Helen
I love seeing that email notice pop up and reading about your exploits. Glad to hear you having lots of fun and you can show me how to drink Vodka, Russian style when you get back.
We've had a dump of snow last night and naturally the transport system has fallen apart! Chaos reports from around the region abound.
Grandad, Jo and I are well, but guests for the funeral next week are looking very thin on the ground as Doug has been diagnosed with Shingles and Anna has either morning sickness returned with a vengeance or food poisoning (or something). Sarah's unlikely to attend because of her dissertation deadline - so it will be a very small group sending Dennis off on his big journey. C'est la vie!
Enjoy Ulan Bataar and I'll look forward to the next installment on your blog.
Moot x
PS - topping up your phone is exercising me greatly at the moment - but I'm sure someone will help me do it at the weekend - probably Merlin, although he doesn't know it yet.:-)
hey hel, did you get any photos of the hamsters?! were they little russian hamsters or tintin sized hamsters?
el says are you going on the circum-baikal railway in irkutsk? he has been researching while we're watching the rugby (again). Glad everyone you're going with seem alright, cant believe how cold it is there though. Even here im sitting inside with my grandma hat and scarf on! xxxxx
Your Day 1 Sounds warm....
Glad you managed to navigate the first day ok. Makes me feel a whole load better now I can fill the gaps between text messages, reading about the crazy driver, the cat in your room and your first escapade out!!
Sounds like all has pretty much gone as ideal as you could have hoped, good to hear all is well with meeting folk and all. I know the fun's just starting.
I miss you loads already, love me x
