Dear travellers!
How do you manage, Graemme, to have 2 European summer conferences, first in the UK, then Spain? With France in the middle, where, of course, you have to have a compulsory stopover between the 2 conferences...
Back in Brisbane after a couple of months in Europe and UK, including 5 weeks in London for David's research..
Vous rentrez quand en Australie? Bises et à bientôt,
Love to you both, Rebecca
Go Graeme and Cathy Hi Cathy and Graenme,
Such an exciting time.......again. We only wish that we both could be with you again on your trip and enjoy a paella together along wit the regional wines. And cathy we wish your knee and yourself much joy and happiness.
When the travelling days are over I can imagine us touring the granite belt and hacking into the regional wines. Yes? but nothing would be better than a local white with a platter of seafood from the Cadiz area.
Cheers,
Paolo and Enza
I like the sound of Spain. Some nice warm weather and lots of paella to enjoy. Hope there are no "running of the bull" festivals occurring near you. Being the adventurous travellers that you are, you might have been tempted to take part. I am enjoying your blogs. It is a nice way to travel without having to leave Australia. Bye for now. Love Ruth
pspenc16@bigpond.net.au Hi Cathy and Graeme,
Super super shots of the King's playgrpound.Am I correct in assuming thatyou are going to buy a retirement farmhouse/chateau soon?
Prices ? Might take a chunk out your Qsuper but the returns...................
Hope you are both well and that the knee is holding well.
Cheers,
Paolo & Enza
Glasgow certainly looks to be a beautiful city. Is that your first time there? I guess it would look much different in the middle of winter!! Love the photos.
Hello, tourists. Sounds like you are having a lovely time exploring historical sites. I hope you have plenty of warm clothes with you. No doubt Cathy is putting her new walking stick to the test.
I'm enjoying following your trip on the blog. have fun. Love Ruth. xx
Happy Birthday Cathy Belated Happy 65th from both of us Cathy!
Enjoy Scotland - one of my great grandfathers was a McDonald from Edinburgh - the family had a saddlery in Cowgatehead in Old Edinburgh. The building is still there. The lads were all saddlers then farmers in various parts of Victoria.
They used to say the Robbie Birns grace for us in broad Scots accents:
Some hae meat and cannae eat
Some would eat that want it
But we hae meat and we can eat
Sae let the Lord be thankit
And they knew all the verses.
But as boys we liked: "Nae matter how ye shake y'r peg a wee drap aye runs doon y'r leg." But I can't be sure that's Robbie Burns.
Looking forward to more adventures (and photos!)
