In April I left straight from school in Ellensburg, and went straight to school in Cairo, then straight to school in Jerusalem. Yesterday I finished my final exam at the university, and I am officially on summer vacation. I did not find the exam itself too terribly difficult. It consisted of four parts: one table where we had to analyze a conjugated verb (find the root, form, tense, person and translation), which was not difficult but not all that interesting either. For me, that’s not the test of the language. The real test came in the remaining parts, where we translated sentences from Arabic to English, then manipulated them by changing the number or gender or whatever,
