yay! Glad u are back ot ur blogging geoff...for a while i though u dissapeared off the face of earth! how much longer are u in japan for? Im now in thailand...and i too have a blog on this site:) take care! xx
Great Blog!!! Hey Geoff, love your blog and your style is great... will continue reading your posts... all the best and great adventures in Japan... Maria
pancakes look good! How many did you actually eat? I bet you stuffed your face... The food does look delicious.
I want to test your karaoke abilities once you come back! I'm challenging you to a Karaoke battle.
News: You're not missing much over here: lots of snow (compared to the last 5 yrs)... exams started last Friday... news... I'm running for VP Communications of the SFUO ... and I live above the Royal Oak on Laurier! ... but of course I told you that already.
other Japanese customs Speaking of Japanese customs that we have only heard about but not witnessed, is it true how people say that it is ridiculously clean there?
This summer I did a project at work on litterring, and the mayor of Mississauga reported that in Japan people carry around plastic bags to pick up OTHER PEOPLE'S litter and bring it home to dispose of. True?
Space Camp =( Why do we not have such intense playgrounds in New Westminster? I long to crawl through those metal tubes and to climb inside the head of that giant... rocket. On another note, I would like you to know that I was thoroughly disappointed with your description of the spider event. I will have you know that I was not chanting "Scoates, Scoates, Scoates" while reading it, in fact, I was doing the exact opposite (whatever that would be). The spider was nothing to be concerned about and I hope that this experience has taught you a thing or two about small insects that cannot harm you. Much love, your baby brother.
Well.
I remember at Bob and Mike's combo birthday trip to nowhere in october 2005, you showed me some cool self-defense moves. I'm pretty sure you could have kicked that stalker's arts.

Hairy Bums Dude I'm so glad I hadn't just eaten when I read the bit about hairy bums! Do you seriously have nothing better to do over there than think (and write!) about this stuff? Haha I'm loving the blog though.
Hornets Giants Hornets are freaky. For example:

Nice job learing at older men. I never took you for that kind of guy, but meh.
cool hey geoff, i just read all your blogs and i feel like a stalker, but i didn't have time till now cuz of schoolio. anyways, keep up the cool adventures! i am jealous bc is lame.
Flash Just a note on the flash/brightness issue. When the flash is on the camera lets in less light to compensate for the intensity of the flash, but since the objects in the picture are so far away the flash has very little effect, resulting in a darker image.
all caught up Hey Geoff!! I just got all caught up on your blog (finally). It's exciting to hear about your adventures. I will admit that the insects and dogs and food allergies would make me nervous but you seem to be taking it all very well! thanks for the laughs. stay fit and have fun and all that! haha.
Onsen That's hilarious, your onsen tales totally brought back memories for me! I knew I had to get naked, but it's like, "when? now? in the next room? I don't know!" So you just kind of have to watch what everyone else does. The nice thing is that they don't have the same weirdness about nakedness that we have in North America, so I don't think they think you're a perv. Rest easy.
Hey Old Man! I don't know what I laughed at more you staring at naked men or your amusement park photo. At least you didn't have to take a photo before going into the bath...that could have been really bad! Glad to hear you are having fun!
an invisible shield? haha. I'm so glad to finally see pics of the kids, you're favourite seems pretty cool.
ps: you're supposed to boil or fry calamari, but im sure it was just as good chewy and cold?
That pic of the spider is pretty impressive, shows depth of field. I've been learning photography whilst you've been teaching and snapping many pics of yourself. I am really impressed with your blog, but more so with your picture taking haha. Those noodles look so yummy...mmmm I want to try that! I can't wait. These posts are great, keep it up and be safe!
Nova Dude, the blog looks good! I'm so apathetic to mine, I'm envious! Just a little concerned for ya.... http://www.csmonitor.com/2007/1030/p04s01-woap.html?s=hns
have you heard of this "teaching crisis" at Nova in Tokyo? Are you working for them or another chain school like theirs? Just checking in and letting you know if you're really stuck you can use what you have to get to Taiwan and find work here no problem... but sure hope that's not your case!
take care and enjoy the journey

Brushing Teeth Hey Geoff, glad to hear you're still alive and faring well :) no clue how to spell faring, by the way... fairing?
anyways, do u brush your teeth for 9 minutes everytime! cuz that is quite an impressive amount of time to be saving by brushing them in them in the shower... I actually tried that once before, I forget what gave me the idea to try it, but I actually ended up concluding it was more annoying to do it that way, cuz then I would have to dry off the toothpaste and toothbrush afterwards to put them back in their spots ... and leaving the two items in the shower is not an option since I live at home w/ 4 other ppl who would probably not care if my toothbrush fell on the ground while they were showering.
Anyways, I'm glad the whole thing works out for you though :P
Hopefully that kid learns he is not supposed to punch new teachers or any other person in the groin in the future--you should do it back and teach him a lesson :P
cat food? hey geoff..sounds like u've sunken to a new low in your eating habits. had i known u were craving cat food i could have sent you some of marmies? lol! as playing games all the time..sounds fun..i hope u dont teach them "never have i ever" its not appropriate in a classroom setting..or with young girls who have a crush on you and giggle all the time. lol. as for karaoke..keep working on it..japan needs to hear your lovely voice..and see your dance moves!
For those of you that don't know, I guess i'm supposed to tell you a little about myself. I think this section is all wrong. I think you should be telling me about yourself and why you're looking at my blog! I only sent out this link to my friends.. hmm... curious... full info
