After four years of work, it's time for a break. I hear travelling in South America is fantastic, so I'm really looking forward to it. I have a rough plan, but I'm quite flexible. I rather take it easy than try to see as much as I can.
My first stop is Buenos Aires in Argentina, where I'm planning to learn Spanish for about a month. I'm sure at times it will be awkward not being able to communicate properly with the locals, but making the effort should add to the atmosphere of being somewhere different.
I'm planning to spend another month seeing other parts of Argentina (maybe the Igazu Falls, Patagonia and Ushuaia), and perhaps Uruguay, before going onto Chile. Then I'm thinking about going north, either to Bolivia or Peru. I'm also playing with the idea of a brief visit to Brazil for the carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
