In January 2013 we set off from Reykjavik , we wanted to be the first ever overland trip to make it driving all the way from Iceland to South Africa, we had a 35 year old ex British army truck that was converted to carry 15 people and had big mud tires and strong 4x4. We were the first to try, 66° North to 33° South driving via west Africa, cooking on camp fires and camping in the bush. Our group was made up of roughly equal Icelanders and Internationals with a 50/50 mix of guys and girls,with our age group going from 20 to 40. We are looking for more people to join our private expedition, There will be 14 of us in a 4x4 ex army truck driving first across Iceland to the ferry in the east, were we sail to Denmark ( via faro islands) then across europe and cross to Morocco and continue down through west and central Africa, down to Cape town we will take 6 months, 20 country’s and 20,000 km anyone interested to join us ?... read more
