Don't miss sailing on the Europa!
Antarctica is one of my favorite places and the bark Europa is the best and most adventurous way to get there that I am aware of - I plan on going back with them again someday as well!

I have been in love with the Mayans and Yucatan for 40 years though have not been since the late 80's. Your photos and commentary took me along, made me smile and desire to go again. I can't wait! And Belize....Please! Thank you.

Great story
Keith, your story is an exceptionally good one! Thanks for going into such detail and telling about all of the incredible adventures you did as well as your feelings. It got my blood flowing just thinking about it. I too have been into the Mirador Basin (seven times now) and have seen many of the sites numerous times as well as having explored other sites you did not get to. Xulnal and Wakna are among my favorite sites. You can do a day trip from Nakbe to La Muralla, to the north and you will be rewarded by an incredible high wall covered with life sized stucco figures of Maya kings dancing. It was exquisite! Again thanks for reviving my memories. A well-written story. Mike

Amazing auroras
What fantastic photos of the Aurora Australis. I'm extremely envious. I would love to see this beautiful phenomenon, at either pole. I recently watched a tv show about Joanna Lumley's quest to see the Aurora Borealis and was fascinated by the movement in the curtain of colour and by its magnitude. You have captured it just as well and even have more colours than she saw. I really love the purple and green together. Congratulations on the lovely shots (and no there weren't too many as you stated) and enjoyable story. Very glad you were not permanently injured by your unexpected "drop-in". Good luck with the rest of your sightseeing.

Spectacular photos and comments
I STUDIED ABOUT THE BYzANTINE EMPIRE AND CONSTANTINOPLE. I WAS FORTUNATE TO VISIT THE CITY IN 1968. SAINT SOPHIA WAS MAGNIFICENT. I AM GLAD THAT IT HAS BECOME A MUSEUM AND THAT MORE WORK TO RESTORE ITS SPLENDOR CONTINUES. IT WILL BRING ALOT OF TOURISM AND MONEY TO THE CITY ONCE IT IS COMPLETELY RESTORED. RESPECT FOR DIVERSITY, HISTORY, ART, ARCHITECTURE AND RELIGIONS BRINGS STRENGTH TO THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE AND PEACEFUL COEXISTANCE. THANK YOU
