Finding a Room
I never had a hard time finding a room in Turkey. I never had a reservation in any of the towns I visited. Capadocia and Istanbul were the only places that I possibly needed a reservation, but I managed there as well. Have fun, Turkey is an amazing place. -Keith

Visiting Selcuk
Wow, thats a great account of Selcuk, I'm thinking of going to Turkey in the summer but I've never been by myself. Would you recommend finding a room once I arrive or booking in advance? Hakan

Wow...
Now that I think about it, the trip to the British Museum for you would not have been just an ordinary trip to a stuffy old bunch of dark rooms. Given your extensive travel experience, I can only imagine that getting in amongst it, with your knowledge of history, would have been a mighty experience - i actually wouldnt have minded doing it alongside you. Your knowledge and eye for detail really is superb. K x

Your pictures really capture the moment of the time. I especially like the pictures of the auditorium. They really inspire the mood for vacation.

Ah - the memories!
I was in Aphrodisias in 1992 and as rennovation was just commencing, there were no other tourists, and the only sign of life was a large snake that slithered between my feet! Apart from the stadium, everything looks so much cleaner and restored - there is even a museum now. This brings back many memories (including the not-so-welcome Turkish bus journeys) so thanks for this entry - and especially the photos!

How timely!
Came across your blog and found it a most interesting read. Am set to go to Turkey next month and Pamukkale tops my list. If you have rummaged more journals , no matter how "old" they are, just keep posting them! Am enjoying your blogs.

Being Behind on Blogs
I am trying hard to get my blogs up to date, but it is difficult. I will be traveling again in April, so I think I will try to do the new blogs as they happen and get caught up with the old ones as I can. Thanks for the complements, it was a great place. -Keith
