geez You sure do make me jealous. Hope everything goes smoothly though for the rest of your adventure. And can't wait to hopefully see you maybe on your way through Glenwood when you get back?

Thanks Amanda Thanks Amanda. You make it sound like I have always dreamed about. Except for the tourist that is. It sounds like you experienced a great deal. Looking forward to hearing about the new adventure. Adam says Hi. He has a broken modem. Love you
entre sombre y espacio... between the shadows of my dreams lives the distance you cover, captured by
your eloquent words and camera....thank you, for letting me tag along in the space between dreams. i have enjoyed living vicariously through you!
WoW!! I really am enjoying traveling with you through So. America. And when you said "Peru," well, you know how I felt. Can't wait to hear about it. Love you. Aunt Joyce
YOu definitely have seen some of the craziest animals and been on people's wildest adventures. I love reading your writings and i hope the stay in peru is equally exciting. love you
what a life you are a whole new woman than the amanda miller i know...she was someone who i might have considered meek, but you are a daring, courageous woman. i would love to get a tutorial someday on how to afford such a trip, where to go, what to bring, etc. and no matter what you do, keep writing.

La Salida Està Por Alla Amazing pics and story, Holt. So happy for you and all your travels. Possibly the teeniest bit jealous. Keep the stories coming for us wanderlusty Americans back home. Te estraño mucho, querida!
Is that an Anaconda in your pants? So, some guy just puts Anacondas in his pants? Hmmm. That image will stick with me. Also sticking: that wetlands sunset. And the image of a pink dolphin. I hope you got a picture of that! Come see me in New York when you come back, I'll take you through a different jungle--one made entirely of concret. Love ya. Hope you're feeling better. Please take it easy and stop drinking the water!!! XXOO -Ry
I heart you. Sounds like you're having so much fun. I'm totally jealous. And I'm glad that although you've been a professional writer you're still a miserable speller...it's just something about you I never want to change. Props for learning Spanish too--at least everything in Spanish is spelled how it sounds. Love you!
Coming pretty standard these days, eh? So strange. I was just thinking about you today and how you hadn't updated in a while. I also was thinking about Bolivia for some reason (but, really, for a geography nerd like me, that's not unusual). So, it seems psychic that this is your adventure for the day.
Am still jealous. But happier more every day. Can't wait to hear about the Pampas.
Photos Hey I've been living in Santiago for the past month and I'm having the worst time being able to upload photos onto my computer. Would you mind if I borrowed a few of your shots of the city?
WOW!! What a trip... Love the blog and the pictures. sounds like you are having a good time and seeing a lot of country. We will expect a book when you get settled down. Keep up the commentary I love to check it out. Have a good time and we'll see you when we see ya'. Lots of love-Aunt Karen
Look at you now I'm impressed, you're learning spanish! It must really have been evil french.
Glad to see you're doing so well, and apparently having such a good time.
Hola es Illinois Saw your parents at Uncle Brian's last Saturday. They are looking pretty good for having a daughter who is so far away. Wow! I can't believe you are the same kid I watched Grandama Lois hang upside down as a baby so you would grow straight. All the family enjoyed the fourth of July fireworks at Knoxville. They were the best I had ever seen them put on. Not much going on at our house this summer, Lauren is 12 and bored, Spencer is 15 and plays to much gameboy.
Bariloche Argentina You can't miss Cerro Tronador in Bariloche and good drink and food
on Blest! More Bariloche information: http://barilocheargentina.blogspot.com
Sounds like you're off to a great start ... ... and I'm happy to hear you are meeting some interesting people from around the globe. I expect to see more pics of you, too!
Hi Amanda, This is so cool to be able to track your trip. Jeff's boys are here with us for a month. Been crazy around here, but fun. Just wanted to let you know that I am watching you. Love, Aunt Connie
ahhh...world travler:) Amanda Holt: So glad you are having a blast and I cannot believe that you took a salsa lesson, I can only imagine what that was like for you and your musical genius!! The pictures look fabulous and I am very impressed with your new linguistic skills! Not a lot of time, just wanted to shoot a quick hello and I am so excited to hear about everything and see lots of pictures!! Love you bunches, Kathryn
It's been years since I've updated this blog. That's because it's been years since I've traveled. I'm psyched to have an update for those who are interested.... full info
