Got in on time after a long, uncomfortable flight, swept through customs, cabbed into the city (about 45 minutes). Jerry didn't get in for another couple hours. I had to sit in the hotel lobby for most of that time, awaiting my room to clear out. Fortunately, the lobby is very cozy and comfy, with a lovely cold breakfast buffet, good coffee, and a little outside area where I could catch some sun (weather perfect—low 80s, perfect sun, little humidity). Hotel is a cute little boutique in a section of the city called Las Canitas. This is an area with a few very clean military installations, adjacent to the gigantic polo arena. Lots of members of the military junta used to live in this area until they were ridden out of power after the Falklands war.
