won't find that in Comox! As you spend more time with different cultures on the planet you will find extremes. Exotic to the just plain strange. Just remember one fact>> people have so much in common in all cultures. Smile, laugh and be yourself. Treat people good and graciously be polite and respectful to thier customs and manners. Write with style, flair and that ever present youthful excitement. The world is your oyster.
Cox You're the last person I would expect to see at a cock fight. Being a vegetarian and all. I've heard about them and that is all I need to know. Gross! Interesting experience I guess. Handing in my quitting papers tomorrow and then Toga party to celebrate on Friday. Wish you were here it's going to be a blast. Fireworks, tequila, fun between the sheets. Yahoo! Take care.
relief!! needless to say, i leapt out ofmy chair too. so glad to hear everything is going even better than planned. still into doing the spanish school? always make time to phone us..everyone is waiting to hear what is up and what you have been doing..have fun...m
kids and perspective/travel a mile in someones shoes. Deryn,,just a reminder about the kids,,below,,they have it rough and the selling is their survival. It's all perspective. Glad you are having so much fun and meeting seeing new things. Be good, remember your roots.

Sweet So glad to hear from you. I actaully lept out of my chair. Got a little worried about your trek upto Nica but all is good. I am very relieved to read your writing again. I needed a good fix of travelling stories from ya. Found a friend of mine has setup shop in Honduras with a dive school. I will let you know which one, he'll give you a deal if you mention me. Don't have to tell you to take it easy. Later cute stuff. DB

san juan del sur, Nicaragua Hi, I liked your blog. I stayed at san juan del sur once at a place called Hotel Isabella. It was a little pricey but the owners are from the states (Mike and Jane) and it was by far the BEST place in town. Nicaragua is beautiful. If you've never been you are in for a treat. I spent six winters in Costa Rica and loved it but can't wait to go back to Nicaragua! Have fun,
from a mom in Maine.

Great fun Oh my the adventure you are having, I am so proud of you. You have taken on an amazing challenge, and experiencing so much. Crazy how many travellers your meeting from BC too!!! Nothing but warm hugs and luv to you.
glad ur having fun Hey chicky - glad u r having fun and we can all keep track of you. I am thinking I should send Whit and Braden there...$10.00 a day is much less than they cost me now (jk). Keep posting so we know what ur up to and have a great time - just remember - u have to come home at some time or your mom will be totally lost!!!
It's the heat... When it's that hot it's like walking through deep hot water. It makes you slow. It's took me almost a week to adjust my walking rate so that I wasn't exhausted by the time I walked 10 blocks into town. If the flow is slow, then go with it.
Well I finished my degree last summer and tried out the working thing for a while. I quickly discovered that I´m not really into the whole working scene just yet. What better time to go on a little three month vacation? So here I am in Costa Rica, the first country on my trip up to Mexico. I´m travelling on my own, trying to learn Spanish, perfect surfing, meet some people, relax, see some monkeys and Mayan ruins, among many other things. You can´t ask for much more can you? I´d have to say it´s going pretty great so far, so I´ll see you all soon...if I decide to come back :)... full info
