Escapism via Kathy's blogs Sitting in my office in Parkville - I am avoiding going into the cold dark night to drive home by reading your very entertaining, evocative and descriptive blogs - which I have finally found some time to dip in to. Port Arlington missed you!
Sunrises and sunsets Yes we do. Dad keeps telling me not to take photos - "You have hundreds of them for sunsets now" but they're all different and I love them. They make me feel happy.
Adorable Otters They were gorgeous. I didn't know otters could be so small. They were so fast in all their movements, too. I think Jazzy might eat them!
Gum trees I still remember seeing the leaves growing from the trunks years ago. It really is amazing. I can't remember where I saw it though, do you know? Thanks for your post card btw. It's now on my pinboard in front of where I sit at my desk in our new study. :D x
Hairy Gum Trees We saw some on Mt Macedon after the fires but you were quite young. Maybe it was in the Dandenongs. I'm glad your postcard has arrived - Mum should have hers then.
Clever Milk Cartons I thought it was brilliant, too. Everyone can relate to milk cartons. It's probably meant for kids but we enjoyed trying them and comparing.
I am a mature (aged anyway!) woman, married with 2 children, a daughter, now 29, who is living in England, and a son who is 25. I was an English language and literacy teacher in a community centre in Melbourne, where I live but am now sort of retired (temporarily at present). I originally came from England, where I met my Aussie husband and then moved to Australia to marry and raise my family.
I love travel and enjoy hearing about new places.... full info
