Barcelona bound!

Until: December 9th 2012

From Christchurch NZ to Sydney for a 70th birthday, then to Dubai for sightseeing. The UK next, then off to Europe with stops of a few days in Bruges and Paris before our main destination, Barcelona. While there we will do a round trip to Switzerland and Italy.

The only hotel we are using is in Dubai, the rest of the trip is house exchanging or hospitality swaps.

We are Kiwis in our 60s, we host language school students, Servas guests and enjoy house swapping. All of these activities are great because we get to know people and can share their lives for a while. We try to avoid hotels when we travel and use hostels or B and Bs when possible. Dave is retired and I'm working as a librarian so we can only travel when I can get time off work. We plan to do more travel in the future, and a lot once I retire too. We had a trip round the world in 2002 and in 2006 (?) mostly visiting friends, Servas and house exchanging. We had a fantastic time! ... full info
