Happy Birthday Sweetie Hi Candice,
Sounds as if you had a wonderful birthday. I can't believe you are 24 and it makes me feel really old as I was only 19 when you were born.
Your Mum tells me you are doing well and that plans are going well for your return early in the new year. I look forward to catching up with and Elvis.
Take care.
Love
Jen xx
some random comments 1) Those guinea pigs look mighty big and seem to have sharp teeth. Well it's hard to tell in their roasted state but that's how it looks1
2) and we're worried about not being able to water the roses or wash our cars over the summer...
3) Pinatas, although my Spanish is non existant, isn't that what they're called?
After the no water blog, I'm so pleased to read about your break. Don't know how you put up with the bus ride though-must be bloody strong motion sickness tablets.
Wow, the whole experience sounds surreal!
Take care - thinking of you.
Guinea Pigs Hi Candice,
I just found your blog and really enjoy it. I just want to make a comment so as to get a different point of view: Andean people have bred Guinea Pigs (They are actually Peruvian. I don't know why the name Guinea in English) to eat for hundreds of years. It was a culture shock for me to see some people breeding the rodent for pet.

Congratulations Hi Candice and Elvis...firstly congratulations on your marriage....Well done! Candice it's nearly three years since we met and doesn't time go fast. I have read your blog which is amazing...Greg and Julie passed your details onto me and I am glad they did...You sound really happy and hey I take my hat off to you...Yes you did see me on television before you left and I was on the deal or no deal show and I won $5000 for guessing the right amount in the suitcase...That money went to my next adventures which was Africa, Egypt, London, Sherm El Sheik, and America...It's really great to hear from you and I wish you all the best...Hey send me an email and I will write back...I keep in touch with Deepa but she is currently overseas till the end of the year...Have you heard from any of the others? I wish you all the best with your new adventure...my email address is miriamkennedy@hotmail.com just in case you dón't have it keep in touch so I can keep on reading your blog... Hey have you ever thought of writing a book about your adventure I think you should...it would be a best seller!
Cheers Miriam...
hi candice and elvis Love reading your letters sorry that I have not written sooner as I was overseas too Josie and I went to Tassie it is not the same as your adventures as I have not like camping out since school a couple of decades back we have to have at least 3 star accomadation but I do understand the hand washing we tend to do that in hand basins and spa baths but always insist on good showers and enclosed loos lots of love Alison .
WOW Hey Candice,
Congratulations. I've just browsed your blog for the first time and I am gob smacked! I am in the staffroom on my wireless laptop, waiting for the microwave so I can heat up lunch and I'm reading about your adventures so far away - Wow!! You know how much I love my creature comforts and my motto "never holiday more than 15 minutes away from a Myer (or equivalent) department store", added to my holiday accommodation requirement of an ensuite and at least a queen size bed...no hot water (not to mention fleas)would be the end of me! We truly don't appreciate how lucky we are! As far as guinea pig eating, I can't imagine putting our 2 little darlings (nickki and pansy) on the BBQ. I think I'd be happy as a vegetarian to live of potatoes and rice!
Well better get back to heating lunch - including my stir fried tofu-do they have that in Peru?
Love and best wishes from all your friends at Warrandyte High (can't wait to show Humpers your blog, you know his fascination with central and south america)

I love flea and bucket stories!! Hey Candice,
Am having a ball reading your stories. Such an incredibly different life you are living. The funny thing is that on my screen 'google' adds some ads to your page and the first two ads were 'eradicate fleas' and 'fleas biting you?'. I never have said congrats for your marraige too. HUGE CONGRATS. Can't wait to come and visit.
Hugs and toilet wishes,
Sall..x
