Welcome "home" Yes it is amazing that soon you will be back in the US - I can relate to the culture shock you will experience when you returen- I went through similar feelings, in 1980,when I returned after 5 years in Germany and then again in 1987 after 3 more years in Germany. Being with family really helped me. You have so many opportunites Katie to continue your world wide exploring - have you thought of joing the State department, military etc. You may wish to correspond with Michelle who will be moving to Croatia later this month. Keep smiling Katie.

Indigo Montoya KT!
Did you ask Indigo Montoya if he found his six fingered man yet??? He has been looking for so long! Duly noted about the clothing optional culture in Barcelona. If we make it up there I will bring some really hot shoes ;-)
kisses!
Manny
amazing Katie, beautiful pictures, wonderful architecture. You made my day. I laughed out loud, I could almost see someone walking nude down the street, good thing they had shoes on!!! we wouldn't want over exposure. Dad and I miss you terribly. Love you! dad/mom

P.S. LOVE your pictures
Hey Katie,
I enjoyed your Spain post. It reminded me of my time there. My blog is looking for some good travel photos. If you have the time, email us some at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com or check us out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com
Continued fun on your travels,
Eric
Thank you We had the most awesome time in Spain. Thank you for sharing your home away from home. We had a great time. Your pictures DO justice to the beautiful country. What a pleasure to meet your family. We were honored to be invited into their home. I think the red wine we drank offset the impact of all the ham we ate....FYI I just saw convertable drive by,3/18, you have got to love Minnesotans! We are a hardy lot. Your father came home and filled up the hot tub. He is now warm again!!! We love you and will forever remember our trip to Spain with the best tour guide ever!
deja vu Again Katie you are taking me back to my time in Europe - you should see Munich during October fest time i- the beer halls are completely filled and the beers are flowing - some Americans go to Europe just for the Munich October fest. . I am so glad you got to see neuschwanstein - one of the most amazing castles in Europe - probably because of all the mystery surrouding King Ludwig. I know what you mean by the churches all melting together which is so amaing because each one has so much history and beauty but it seems our brains can ony hancle so much. I am so glad that soon you will be seeing your mom and dad during their first trip to Europe - that will be priceless. p.s. did you get to try any schnitzle in Germany?? Love Auntie Kasha
Yo kt! Props on the snapshots from your Geraustrian experience... I feel like I'm right there with ya! Just wanted to let you know that we've added some crude recordings to our website for your listening pleasure! www.myspace.com/kensingtonstone
Take care companera and talk to ya soon ( :

deja vu Reading about your trip to Garmisch took me back - that was one of my favorite places in Germany. How nice of your friends family to open their home to you. Hope you got to eat some great german food.

You are amazing Good morning my dear, I am glad that you were able to get the bugs worked out for your trip. Dad and I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back to Granada. We are so excited and proud of you! You make us laugh with your blog entries and we are learning lots!! Thank you! Amazing as it may seem, I was able to understand quite a bit of the language while in Puerto Rico with the Ya Ya's (thanks to all your assistance and constant corrections over the years!!!).......which was helpful reading the road signs........we only got lost once.....well maybe twice...all in all we muddled through. We love you and will talk soon. Miss you terribly.
Sounds fun Hi Katie- wow, it sounds wonderful. It's cold here, 8 below to be exact. Bob and your dad did some male bonding yesterday. I'm glad it's the weekend. Time to relax and sit back. Keep up the good work.
KATIE i am excited for you! Hey KAtie! I have been keeping up with your trip and hw you are doing! I am so glad you are experiencing so many things and that you are having a ton of fun! Your pictures are amazing and it makes me want to take a trip to travel in spain! Hope all is going well with you and that you re having the time of your life! Miss you KAtie :)
Great update KT, I so enjoy having coffee with you every morning. Today is Martin Luther King Jr's BD holiday. In my company this is one of our Holidays. Manny and I went to see "The Great Aunty" Gen on saturday, We told her that you had found a miniture for her collection. She can't wait to see you when you return and also looking forward to her little gift! Love the pictures. Dad gets home tomorrow from Costa Rica, I miss him terribly! Enjoy the Flamingo (sp) dancers this evening. exciting.
Just checked out the new pics... Breathtaking is right! The Alahmbra one with the mountains as the backdrop looks medievalist and totally rad! Glad to hear your acquaintance with Granada has been a warm and welcoming one! I know the social aspects in the early stages of your experience can seem dispiriting at times, but to summon MLK's words on his day, faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. I also know you go about each day with this kind of positive outlook and surely your authentically sophisticated temperament will garnish strong bonds and lasting memories in no time! The band and I have been rehearsing doggedly this extended weekend and easily have enough material to get a demo out around town after some refining to meet the needs of our sonic palates. I think our coolest tune is 'Big Funky Mammal' which is a jazzy funk number about a camel. We should be getting recordings uploaded onto our myspace page soon so I will let you know when we make that happen! I hope classes are going well and we get a chance to chat soon companera! Missing your effervescence and hoping life is extraordinary. -Adrian
Home Hi Katie...No matter what goes on in Spain, you know it is a life long learning experience and you will look back and realize how lucky you are to be there. Your momma is coming over tomorrow morning to knit and visit/things haven't changed here =)
Visit the nude beaches/it will give you something to chat about when you return home..
Love, Jane xoxo
Here's a smile for you! Hi Katie-I'm glad you arrived in Spain safely. I'm really glad we can connect through this blog. What a great idea. This is going to be a thrill of a live time. Take it all in and enjoy it. Bob says "hi" and he misses your smile and laugh. I'm thinking about you, have fun and have some red wine for me!
