Aha ...Theobrama, thanks for that!! doesn't it mean food of the Gods or something?? Yes, we're just leaving WA now and it has been wonderful....watch this space, will get the final blog up asap. Can't believe it's time to go home, 10 months has flown by. Well, enjoy the pastries and the Mumbai craziness! xx
Back in Bombay Hi Michelle
Just reading this as we got back into Bombay a couple of days ago. I'll be jealousy thinking of you, living in the lap of luxury, when we head back to our stuffy hotel room this evening!
The bakery is Theobrama - might pop off there for a brownie later this afternooon...
Take care
Catie
hello again Nice to read your story on Hampi where we met, dear Michelle and Matt. After having passed in Sravanabelagola, Mangalore, Kochi, Munnar, Madurai, Tanjore, Pondichéri, Bangalore and Mumbai, I'm finally back home in Carouge/Geneva.
Did you want to ready my road book in French in PDF format ? If so, to which E-mail add should I send it ?
Best regards from the cold country where, believe it or not, you have to wear socks and shoes !

missing a surprise you are missing a visual treat ... rugged terrain ,a biological hot spot, snow- fed rivers tumbling down the high mountain slopes, homes of the yaks, blue sheep and extremely rare and elusive snow leopard....just across the border of east Nepal - Bhutan !
:)
Big kisses from Jodhpur! Hey Matt and Michelle!!
Tal and I are in Jodhpur now. Udaipur was great! Tomorrow we'll leave to jaislamer to do a camelsafari! :-)
We miss you two... Take care and big kisses from Jodhpur!
Jealous! I kept this for when I had time to just sit and enjoy your wonderful account of life in Kerala. What an experience you are having!!! I just wonder how you will be able to settle back to the ´Real World´...or maybe that is the the Real Thing??? Keep enjoying and allowing us to have a peep into your travels....keep them coming. I am so happy for you. Lots of love and hugs, M XXX

Hello you two! Hey Guys, Lucy just posted a lovely photo of us all in My Bar, Parhagang, Delhi - just before you jetted off to Cochin. Sooo envious of you both - I am getting my fix now from reading your blog, lol - but I miss the fooood!! Have an amazing time & keep writing, best wishes to you both, Jo xx
Amazing Picture you paint... Great to hear the stories of your arrival to India. I suspect that the opening comment about someone giving you advise re India, might be us!!!
We felt the same about Varanasi, it is an assualt on your senses, and you come away with more questions about so many things. The burning Ghats are an emotional experience for anyone and i think you have really hit the mark by saying that death is dealt with in a very different way in India. the focus is on doing everything you can to ensure the deceased enters the next life in the best way possible.
lovely to hear your tales....
Anand and Urvi (met in Marpha in Nepal...)
Varanasi....WoW!!!! Once again, enjoyed your account of this colourful and exciting sounding city: however rather you than me in the middle of all that!!!!.....it was the description of the smells that did it for me!!!
Lots of love, MXXX
Hi guys

A real holiday Great meeting the two of you at that ex-pat nexus Open Hand Cafe in Delhi. We had some good laughs which made my working holiday a lot more fun for a few days. Travel well out there. I'll keep an eye on your blog to see what fun you find over the next hill. I know we'll meet up again somewhere.
'Til then...

WoW!! I so enjoyed reading this and tought it was the next best thing to being there with you. Sounds so amazing and so...different. Howeve it also sounds a bit exhausting so think I will content myself with hearing all about it from you. You xperience in the shower Matt sounded a bit scary.!!! Hope there were no ill effect?
Keep them coming Darling. Loads of love. M XX

OMG that was one crazy unforgettable journey i bet!!! I am loving reading your blogs and am very jealous of all your fab adventures - so pleased you are both having such a great trip. Loads of love to you, Debs xx
Your Boyfriend is a chump Guys the trip sounds awesome, I need some advice when you get back. We heard from a south african friend at the weekend that it was possible to cross the Zambia-Zim border to see the falls from the other side for $25... if you can find out how that would rock, especially as Zim is so messed up at th moment. Also if you have any ideas about accoimdation I need to book something pretty soon (with airport pick up??) for xmas time.
Oh and when were you getting back to the UK again??
I aint getting on no plane....
I want to stay with D& D!! How wonderful to read your account of latest exploits this morning. I want to visit D&D and chill in their place. How lovely to go with her to the market etc and view it from a residents eyes. I bet she enjoyed having you too and am sure was sad to say goodbye!! The Crater sounds amazing and worth the visit. You both look well and happy and that is the main thing.
Talked to Cillian on FRiday night from Zageletta (there for Kates birthday!! Gave her a card from her niece and nephew and nephew rang!! ) He got a Sales award that got him a prize of a day at Brands Hatch!!! He was so excited and got to drive 2 different cars...forget names and instructor gave him 92%which enabled him to get a ride in a single seater Formula One car!!!! I think that is what he said- I was so excited for him as I know what cars have always meant to him-
Do I presume correctly that you are the only one sees this? Only just thought of this!!
Bye for now.
The ´kids´look really cute!! XXXXXX and lots of love.
PS
Not long after we met, Matt and I discovered a mutual passion for travel (as well as lots of other things!). So, 3 years later and after 1.5 years of planning - we have said au revoir to our friends and colleagues in Oz, packed our bags and have hit the road for our first big travel adventure together. First stop for Matt is a crazy stag do in Jersey that he has organised for his brother. First stop for me Koh Samui, Thailand and then we'll meet up for a whistle stop tour of Europe, Africa, Nepal and India.
