FAO Lynne!! Hi Mum..... Probably a bit of both!! May have to watch the beers though, when we left UK I could get the belt strap on my rucksack easily done up, however three months in and I can't!! Also bought some one size fits all knickers yesterday and they were a pretty tight squeeze though I am telling myself it's cos most Thai women are really really tiny and they were made with them in mind!! xxx
Duplicate emails! Hi Dad, When we 'publish' the blogs it never works 1st time and we have to press the publish button loads of times which must explain the duplicate (and the rest!!) emails. What a pain to get so many mails! Will see if we can avoid pressing it too many times on the next blog x x x
So true.... Your view on the kids and temples is sooo true, i felt the same way too when i visited SR last time. Your pics are spectacular, and yes, you could have more great pictures if it not because of the crowd. Your top 5 temples are mine as well! :)
Beauty is everywhere This place looks really calm and relaxing you both must be feeling so chilled out now that you must be horizontal, or is that just the beer that is keeping you so chilled keep enjoying it but remember we miss you xxxxx
Beautiful Peace What magnificent temples, and what peace must surround them!!The county seems to have such diversity as you say, but we think we know which you two prefer!! The people look so peaceful, and happy and it just goes to show "wants and needs in balance bring peace" very humbling for us to just look at the sights, fantastic for you to share in the real thing, and experince soooo much, you both look great and we are so glad you are having what we hope is the experience of your lives!!! take care of each other our intrepid travellers. love you bothxxxxxx

Great blog post - I do not know all that much about the Vietnam war and certainly did not know that Cambodia had experienced anything like this so recently, I bet it was quite a moving visit.

Mankind Never Learns Nothing prepares you for the attrocities that man can do to man than actually being in the place it happened. We had just got over being bombarded with news footage of the Vietnam War,when we learned of the tragedy of "Year Zero"and this all happened during the troubles in Northern Ireland, not to mention our families accounts of WW2. So it all seemed to wash over us like a bad dream. It was not until later that the full horrors of Year Zero was fully understood.I knew you would use this trip to increase your knowledge and understanding of other cultures. To take time out to study these events is very admirable.I only wish that one day we would learn from the past ,and live in peace.Something tells me thats as far away as ever though!
Love to you both, and continue to enjoy your journey.Trev
Nowt to do with your blog really but if there's ever the chance, try and listen to 'just jack' and in particular 'writters block'! This goes for everyone!!

Tanfantastic Now you know a bit more about the war its frightening to think about living down there but pleased you got to see it ,you look really well carla as if you have a tan or was it just dirty down there !!!!
The french are everywhere it seems!!! Well what a great blog and how quickly has the month passed in Vietnam!!!The places you have visited look wicked and you are both so brave to enter the past and be able to decide for yourselves the facts as you see them!! experiences that wil stay with you forever, and we are sure will no doubt change your life for the better!!!Everyone here says hallo and ask about you both endlessly and we have to plot the map (in particular) for Zo often. We called on Bebert with the chris Matt and Andy and the first question asked of chris was how is Matt and Carla doing!! they all send their love and we think miss you nearly as much as we do!!Aline and Seb, Mickael and Line also say Bonjour!! keep the blogs coming, we enjoy so much, remember wants and needs......love to you both always, take care our intrepid travellersxxxxxx
AK 47-Blasts Robbie Nice to hear that you two seem to be in a more friendly enviroment again.Reading your blog calmed me down after "Rudebox"kept messing with my Itunes downloads with its bonus content.Could have done with that AK 47 Sunday night as I attempted again to download Itunes with dialup.Trying to put off getting broadband as I dont want to lose contact with you.Dont want to mess with the "gubbins" now.Stay safe you two keep living the dream. Love+peace. Trev X p.s ipod fine now!
stuff and things Yeah I no what you mean about the tunnels. I saw a documentry on them just a couple of days ago. Its crazy to think they 'lived' down there. I saw the kitchens aka holes they used and how they managed to get the smoke out without alerting people to there where abouts. Unfortunatley I can only see a couple of photo's at the mo but look forward to seeing them soon.
take care mini bear and cheers for the postcard!!
Nice blog. blog faces!!!
I will call Dom when I get back on Thurs. ps I passed my review and am now a fully fledged member of a certain mapping company!!
Hello!! Moving on from Vietnam on Wednesday via bus to Cambodia. How confused are you thinking we are still in Thailand??? Also what do you mean by Pukey and Spade...I was confused! Hope you are ok C x x x
Your first random comment! Much amusing images of you being outweighed by a rucksack, When are you moving on from Vietnam?
P.S. Flip flop story made me laugh out loud at my desk at work as did your first random comment.
Elephant Pai Hi there, after reading your blog we decided we need to make a visit to Pai. Like you we had done the cushy chair number in Koh Chang and were looking for a something a little closer to nature. Today we spent 2 hours with beautiful Camsen and her mahout. She was a little naughty to say the least but it was such a relief that the mahout never used his hook on her (unlike Koh Chang where he had cut the elephants ear). We had such a great day. Thanks for the tip! Enjoy Vietnam....South is best, try and make it to Phu Quoc if you have the time. Cheers, Edam.
