WOW I stumbled on your site and was in a state of awe, excitement and pride as I read from beginning to date. Felt like I was reading a novel about a young woman on a lifetime adventure (which I guess I am) except it's not a novel. You are amazing and I have to thank you for sharing your experience with us. I will be sure to venture back to see your new adventures, so keep em coming. Love you and can't say enough how proud.
It will be a great experience.... Cassie, in April 1992 I took a job in Kuwait as an IT Consultant. Other than traveling to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, I had never been outside of America. The first couple of days were tough until I started work. Many of the Kuwaitis had gone to college in America. All of the people I worked with at the Ministry of Finance Computer Center spoke English. Many of the people in my apartment building spoke English. I joined a SCUBA diving club at the end of the first year and met a lot of expats. I worked there for 27 months and it was a fantastic experience. It was the start of my world travels.
Be open to all the new experiences, you won't regret it. Enjoy!!!!
good luck! I know you will be amazing and this will be one of the most rewarding experiences for you! I have no doubt and believe you are perfect for this! I look forward to reading your blog and seeing all the pictures!!!
Hello!
I am an American-born English teacher living in South Korea. My plan is to keep this blog regularly updated with my observations, thoughts, and adventures while living on the other side of the world. In December 2014, I packed up and left everything and every one I knew behind and it's been a whirlwind of experiences since I arrived! It's been sink or swim since Day 1... and I'm still alive, so I guess I've become a decent swimmer!
I'm an open book! If you have comments or questions about my experiences, please ask!
Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy my posts!... full info
