Today, on the way to my destination, I planned on stopping at Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy. For those of you who don't know - Bay of Fundy has the world's highest tides. It is a funnel shaped seaway between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia which is 180 miles long. So, at high tide the water starts making its way through the bay, and at low tide the water starts to recede, by the time it makes the 360 miles journey, it is high tide again and the receding water gets pushed back along with the new high tide water. I have a nice perk at work, July and August, we only need to work half day on Fridays - work permitting, of course. So, I woke up early and worked from 7 - 11am. By 11:15, I had all my stuff in the car and I was on the road. I drove about 15 miles, when I realized that I forgot the most important thing for this trip -- my passport. Thank God, it was only after 15 miles. The rest of the drive from New York was uneventful. My route took me through the major interstates from New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.
