See you on Sunday Brian and Geri-
It has been so exciting for all of us to share(in a small way) in your honeymoon. We will see you on Sunday at Baggage Claim.
Love,
MOM
What day is it? I'm not sure what day you are experiencing in NZ but here in the USofA it is Monday, October 3rd, which means that tonight is Erev Rosh Hashonah. We'll miss having you both with us but know that you are having a fabulous time. Shana Tova. Mom
Hokey Pokey Ice Cream? Mmmm,,, THAT'S what it's all about!!
(Sorry, couldn't resist! Glad you're having such a good time... love to the KatzElliott family!)
Not all that dorky Ya know, when you guys first said that you were going to do a blog, my initial thought was that it was Brian's charming dorkyness coming out (I can say that because I'm your sister). But I am truly enjoying reading your entries and seeing the amazing pictures. I'm pretty sure Geri's doing most of the entries, and now I know she has this hidden talent for painting a perfect and funny picture through writing - I can't wait to hear the REAL stories!
Our weather We, too, are doing what good Minnesotans do, obsessing about the weather! First, more devastating storms on the Gulf Coast, followed by our own two tornadoes, one straight-line windstorm with hail, 90 degrees F, followed by
low 40's last night and highs in the upper 80's to 90's for the next week. The poor trees are really confused about what is going on but the colors are beginning to look beautiful although the leaves are falling very quickly. At this rate we'll have snow by the time you come home so keep the crampons handy. Continue having a great time and enjoy the coffee in a tube.
Oooh! Just like Iceland! Many cities in Iceland are geothermically heated and the water smells heavily of sulphur. I am so jealous of your Art Deco adventures. America's Next Top Model is not the same without you!
hey there! It seems like you are having a wonderful time. I miss you both and hope the sun returns!
Are there any common themes in New Zealand visual art?
Feels like home? My first thought when I saw the photo of the museum is that it has a strange resemblance to the Mall of America - did you get that same creepy feeling like you were in Bloomington?
Everyone is skinny, huh? I guess you always here about Europe being a healthy place because they walk everywhere - is NZ the same? Is the food not so hot??
Driving to the Coromandel (Whitianga) Hey guys,
Fantastic itinerary!
A brief word of warning from a Kiwi- NZ does not have beautiful sweeping motorways like you have in the US. The Coromandel area (Whitianga)is particularly windy with very narrow roads. PLEASE rest as much as possible after your flight before you hit the road as that first stretch is an arduous one (and on the other side of the road!).
Best of luck and I'll look forward to reading about your adventures.
Mandy.
We would love to meet you Hi Brian, Geri. We are friends of Scott Dibble. If you have time in your gruelling schedule we'd love to meet you in Auckland or Wellington. Chris is Minister of Conservation but we have an election on 17 Sept. so it could change! Phone me on 006498349020 at home.
