We've been very lucky with the food so far--course we're in gringo heaven and the shops are careful not to sicken their clientele. Especially since 50% or more of their income comes off tourists.

Karen what a trip you are on now One you well never forget. You are brave to drive down there. Only way we went to Mexico we won a trip for 2 for 8 days we had a really nice Hotel. And took the bus down town that was a trip we did not do
again. Taxi same thing crazy. Took the high trip and met some wonderful people. Trip we well not forget. Stay well and Safe! Love your stories and pic's.
