We're going to settle for the zip line over our falls...still not in yet.

Do you get permission to take all of these peoples photos? Are they happy to pose for you?
9th March 2010

Oh yes, they were extremely happy to pose for me...can't you tell?
9th March 2010

Sorry, I was being a bit snide. None of these pictures are posed. They're all pure photo journalism--very difficult. Angie was a great help though. They speak Spanish, but differently--like English is different in Jamaica than in Montana. W
ell, Angie had studied those differences and could imitate them, so they though she was Bolivian, too. I got a lot more done with her than I ever could have alone.

Are you ready to come home yet? I think your new camera and the one behind it are doing a great job. Thank's.
9th March 2010

Not quite yet, and thanks!
8th March 2010

I'll actually consider that suggestion.

Your dad says he kinda thought you might. You think you're up to it? You might have to go para-gliding or sky diving or something. And you'll definitely get to get lost.

Paul, we have this great idea. Next year you come with us! You meet us somewhere for a week or two (!), we stay in hostels, eat once a day--it'll be just like college again.

I finally figured it out and have gone through your entire trip to this point. Thank you for taking the time to share it with your friends and family. For me, it has been a getting to know you experience. Stay well.

How did you get that great photo of the Shepherd up close? Were you in conversation with him?As for the other shepherd...yes, I like the hat. I don't want one, but it makes for an interesting picture. On the other hand, if it didn't say EX-
wife...

Oh, you are very bad...But to answer your question, yes, we were visiting with him. Angie asked if we could take his picture, that we would pay him, but he wanted to be paid in coca leaves and we had none.He settled for being paid in pesos
and I had Angie talk with him, trying to get him to smile so I could get those teeth.

I went back and added some more information to some of the photos--like we learned the next day that the road over the pass had to close because of a mud slide. That storm we saw coming in dumped a bunch of rain in those mountains.
