Friends Hi Guys
After finally having time to catch up on your blog, I realize I should spend the day planning our trip! Since we only have two weeks to make it to Newfoundland not two months I don't want to spend it at any dumpy holiday inn express. So I'm sitting at Saltpring Marina planning our trip to Newfoundland. Let's see. We will take the 7 am ferry to Vancouver, drive to Pearce arch border crossing, then hit the open road! Drive drive drive! Hit Spokane and sleep, then keep heading east. Our backup plan if we can't find a hotel is a rest stop and sleep in the car. Look for Colin's ship somewhere in the Great Lakes. Hit the ferry in Nova Scotia on the 31st. Drive around Newfoundland and be at Colin's house on the 4th. Fly home on the 7th and work on the 8th. That's about it for the planning.
Hope we experience some adventures along the way.
Thanks for your blog. I may not comment because our life here is not the adventure you are having. But if you are both missing work life I could comment on that each day.
Keep up the amazing adventure.
Note Recieved Got your explanation , Helli, but Instead of Submit Comment, NEXT appeared. clicked next and who knows where my lengthy response went. From now on I will use my laptop rather than IPhone, Hope that will work.
Fourth note to you since last. I'm doing something wrong as you don't seem to get our notes. I 'll contact you by e-mail if this goes astray. Follow you each day and relive the route as you travel. Love your commentary. Have made several smart ass remarks re some of your showing off to those Alberta cars we saw through Dave's telescope as you bared yourself on Westside Road.
Anyway it is a lot of time doing your blog and if you just do it once ore twice a week we we'll still follow along with you .
Keep safe,
LOL

Bare moments Hi Ron,
We had issues with comments last year not coming through, so we actually tested it yesterday, You have to have text in both the comment title and then in the box below where you can write your message. I don't know if this is the problem, but it's a bit frustrating to hear that comments still aren't coming through. let me know if you get this message!
Hello OMG we just looked at the map and see what you are talking about! We didn't have internet in Browning (the Holiday Inn Express wouldn't let us use their lobby internet to find different accommodation). It would have been shorter to come up to Lethbridge than back to Kalispell. Geez Loueeezzz. Hugs, hopefully see you on the way back, or in Reno next week???????
Warmer weather Well good choice heading to wine country. Can't get any better than the okanagan. Enjoy the heat. We get up to 33 tomorrow, so nice. Ride safe. Xo. Or. Just veg by the lake.
Sunny days ahead! Thanks so much for your northern diversion and visit with us in Vernon. Again another great time with you both exploring new vistas. Mission Hill Winery, lake shore of Vernon to Kelowna and actually sans rain!
It's beautiful and sunny today for heading south (day 3) and we wish you a safe and exciting adventure in continuing your ride.
We will be riding along with you in following your blog.
Cheers !!
Ron & Bev
Safe travels! Helen and Ian, We hope the weather co-operates as you travel south. Though it rained this morning, the sun shined its face by late morning and became warm this afternoon. We look forward to reading and seeing your photos through your blog! Have a wonderful trip and try to keep dry (would ya?).
trip I have travelled extensively in the western states so I will get to relive some of that as I hear you passing through. I might even suggest some side trips as you pass thru areas that I've been that rocked my socks. The wind, the sun, the sights. Have a fabulous ride you 2
Bike trip #2 here we come. Last year, we rode over 20,000 kms on our Suzuki VStrom 650 motorbikes from Victoria, BC Canada to St. John's NL Canada and back.
This summer, we have no itinerary other than to head south from Victoria, BC Canada. No left or right turns required. In search of somewhere warm. To visit some of the U.S. that we weren't able to see last year.
We are still on the VStroms, still wearing the same gear, still excited as ever about riding.
Follow us along on this journey as we discover new scenery, new friends, new things about ourselves, and make new memories.
Thanks fo... full info
