What a magical city! Hi Steph,
I had left a comment earlier, but my computer froze and apparently it didn't post. Wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this blog. It looks like you chose the perfect time to visit Zurich! Love, Mom
Can't decide which pictures I like the best! Hi Steph! I loooooooovvvveeeee all these pictures!!! They really give a great overview of your Venice experience. The picture of you and Elyse on your first day in Venice brought tears to my eyes. You look so full of anticipation and excitement! Just think of all the wonderful adventures you've been blessed to have. I'm going back to look at all the pictures again! Love, Mom
!!!!!!!! I love that you aren't merely having fun learning experiences visiting places every weekend--you also have the best zany stories, and I wouldn't expect any less. I'm glad you guys get to travel so much! You sound so cultured now! I REALLY wish I had done this trip with both of you--I don't think doing it with anyone else would be as fun, but now I want to do it next year maybe.
I ran into Josh last week, and he said y'all will be home here in a couple weeks, so we need to get together and talk all about everything! I also invited myself out to B-ripple for your birthday, Steph. (yeah--I'm finally 21 now!)
I can't wait to see both of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy Florence! It's beautiful (but it's no venice)!!!
Ah.....how lovely! Hi Steph! Glad that you got to be a country girl for a while in Ireland. More beautiful pictures to enjoy! I just read your latest blog on your school site and really enjoyed it. (Explore. Dream. Discover.) Was a great wrap up and perspective to all your travels and adventures. Have you thought about reposting it on this site, too? Love, Mom
Now...be nice to the Pope! Hi Steph! I was ROTFL at your Vatican shotglass and settling a score with the Pope!! I'm sorry that you missed the Sistine Chapel. Guess you'll just have to go back to see all the things you missed. Your pix were gorgeous....breathtaking art! Would have liked to have had some captions to go with the pix. Know that you've been really busy, so I'll be patient and hear the descriptions when you get home. Love, Mom
Parc Guell - Wow! Hi Steph! I loved all your pix...especially the ones of Parc Guell. What a facinating and unique place! It sounds like you saw some wonderful works of art in Barcelona. Can't believe you met other students from Purdue and Venice there. It's a small world after all!
Love, Mom
Your German Education Hi Steph! I was laughing so hard reading about the things that you learned in Germany!! .....Especially the difference between "What's the crack?" and "Where's the crack?" I knew that semester abroad would come in handy! Sounds like another great weekend full of new experiences. Also like your new, warm, cozy coat! I'm heading off now to watch the videos. Dad said that they were great. Love, Mom
Padova is beautiful! Wow! Padova is so beautiful!!! It looks like a city right out of a movie. How exciting to see works of art that you have studied in so many classes! Tell Elyse that I think she looks like a model in the pix with Shannon and Lizzie. That looks like a model's pose if I ever saw one!
Love, Mom
I wanna go to London!!! Do you remember how Uncle Tony's bird, Stinker, likes to say, "I wanna go to Hawaii"?.........well, I wanna go to London!! What a wonderful blog, Steph. It looks like you and Elyse were once again in museum heaven! Loved looking at all your pix, as usual. Your Carnivale masks were so cute! I really loved the music from Wicked, too. We'll have to get the CD. Is there one?
Love, Mom
Bono Italia! Hey Steph:
Thanks for your postcard---so thoughtful of you. Molly gave me your blog sight so am reliving our trips to Italy. The flooded piaza would be a sight to see and experience. Your pixs are great.
See where you are going to Munich which is totally German---am sure you'll hit the Hofbrauhaus----a must for beer and a t-shirt.
You are having experiences that will last the rest of your life. Sure will want to visit w/you when you return.
Tks. again for thinking of us. You're a doll!
Ciao,
Linda
As always.....loved the blog! Hi Steph,
Enjoyed this latest installment of "Stephanie's European Adventure"! It sounds like Milan was just what you needed after a busy week of classes. The pix of the aqua alta were facinating....especially those creepy looking alleys. They reminded me of Titanic, too. It seemed like Jack and Rose should be wading through them at any moment! Hopefully, the water in Venice was a little warmer than the North Atlantic......and no icebergs! Hope you're staying warm and dry!
Love, Mom
Enjoying your blogs! Makes us want to return to Italy...for a lengthy stay! Have fun, stay safe (I sound like your mom!)....and watch the wine consumption :-) ..haha
Another great blog! Hi Steph! Wow! Verona looks like a beautiful town. It sounds like you all had a wonderful time. I really loooove all the pix. You looked just like Juliet on that balcony. :) Riding the train for the first time, standing on "Juliet's balcony", sightseeing like a real tourist....what fun! Thanks for taking us all along on the ride with you!! Love, Mom
great gondola video I just watched your gondola video on you tube. (It already had 7 views!) I'm impressed, Steph! I didn't know that you knew how to post on you tube. I loved watching the video. The stillness and the slight echo of your voices were so peaceful. I really got a kick out of Lorenzo. He is such a curious little chatterbox!! The man who waved at you looked very authentic. The beginning reminded me of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney World. I kept expecting to hear a sea chantey! Love, Mom
Stephanie, sounds like you're having a great time in Venice! The pics are beautiful, wish I was there with you guys! Have fun, be safe and we will talk soon- love and miss you!!!! Molly
Loved the pix and descriptions Am I your first comment? What a great blog, Steph! Your pix and descriptions are wonderful. I almost feel like I'm there, too! Your Italian professor sounds like a real hoot.
WOW Looks like your trip started out great! Be sure to wear your life jacket when floating around Venice!:)
What a special experience for you. Soak in every day. I will keep checking for new entries. I talked to your mom yesterday to find out how your trip was going. Thought you had been there longer. She is so excited for you and as she talked, I heard your dad in the background adding his comments. Sound about right? Enjoy! Love, Pam
